The first live period weekend of the AAU season has officially wrapped up and with that, we had multiple prospects from that state of Indiana getting some in-depth looks from D1 coaches from all across the country. From Adidas 3SSB in Iowa, to UAA Next/Rise in Ohio, to Nike EYBL in Memphis, to many other locations, we had no shortage of in-state guys playing this weekend. I was able to watch Nike EYBL in Memphis over the weekend and get a good look at some players from that state of Indiana down there. Here are some standouts for me.

The highest rated prospect in the 2027 Prep Hoops Indiana rankings was in action down in Memphis playing for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u. Hill was one of the more impressive bigs in the 2027 class that played on the EYBL circuit showcasing his elite rim protection and shot blocking skills. Multiple D1 coaches were taking a look at him over the weekend and I would bet that offers will be rolling in for him. Tons of upside here.

I think I can say out of the people on this list, Pike guard [player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller'] may have impressed me the most. Also running with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u, Miller was just relentless in the lane and very active on both ends of the floor. Super athletic guard that can get you a bucket and defend as well. I would fully expect some offers to come his way after a strong weekend in Memphis.

Welker started off the weekend a little slow before being the guy that may have made the biggest plays down the stretch a few times for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u. He showed his ability to be a multi-level scorer hitting some smooth threes as well as making plays 15ft and out. What I love about Welker is that he lets the game come to him and does not force anything. He's one to watch the rest of the AAU season.

I was able to get a look at [player_tooltip player_id='1534261' first='Justin' last='Curry II'] on Sunday one game and even though he came off the bench, he was arguably the best player for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 17u that game. Curry came and in and did what he does best: knock down outside shots. Showed a good amount of range in his shot scoring both on wide-open attempts and with the defense on him. Consistency is still the main thing for Curry, but if he has more games like this one, more offers will be on his way.

Berry was one of the top instate prospects that D1 coaches were taking a look at from the 2026 class. Got to see him one time this weekend and was so impressed with his ability to take over a game at a moments notices. Showed good explosiveness on the ball using his athletic ability to make plays above the rim. Does not force the issue at all on the floor and puts on a show at times.
