Believe it or not, June basketball is just right around the corner which means we will be right back into high school play as summer kicks off. Spring AAU is in full swing right now, but that does not mean we cannot look ahead to June where we will see our in-state prospects get back with their respective high school squads for a full month. For the next few weeks, we will look at some players for each class and position group as I give you my personal watch list for the month of June. Of course, every player we have in the state is a must-watch, but here are four player in the 2028 class that you should focus on just a little bit more, part four.

One of the top shooting guard prospects in the instate 2028 class is Hamilton Southeastern's [player_tooltip player_id='2559521' first='Varschon' last='Clark']. At 6-foot-3, Clark got some varsity time and played he way into a big role for the Royals as the season went along with his 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. Clark is long and athletic, can create his own shot off of the bounce, and has good instincts defensively. A high upside wing that could really pop off this summer starting in June.

The 6-foot-5 [player_tooltip player_id='2560351' first='Chandon' last='Gilbert'] is one of the top wing prospects we have in the 2028 instate class. As a freshman, he got some varsity action for Warren Central but is expected to be more of a contributor for his sophomore year for the Warriors. He has some of the more impressive yet natural athleticism in his class with the skill to back it up on the wing. Overall a smooth ball handler, has a good looking pull-up game, and can physically compete. One to watch in June.

South Ripley High School has some very good young talent on the come-up and one of those players is 6-foot-4 power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2477290' first='Blake' last='Gunter']. Gunter is an athletic forward that is just so active with everything he does. He is a glass cleaner and has good mobility as well as a high motor. I see him stepping into a big time role for South Ripley come June and then be a sophomore to keep an eye on next season.

Johnson has been a player that I have been high on since I saw him at our 2028 Freshman Showcase and expect him to be as impressive this summer for South Bend Riley. One of the few freshman last year that could say they started at the Class 4A level and Johnson more than held his ground. Yes, he is a little undersized right now for his position but he is more than a willing rebounder and can make tough backsets around the rim and defend pretty well. He will be one of the main guys for South Bend Riley next season.
