One of the things that immediately stands out with Tylan is how vocal he is. On both ends of the floor Tylan is always directing traffic, and even when the ball is out of plays he's constantly communicating with his teammates and coaches to make sure they're on the same page. In a win over [program_tooltip program_id='2422572' first='D1' last='Minnesota Gold'] on Sunday morning, he was finding success getting to the rim in a number of ways. His strong frame allows him to post up opposing guards, he has the handle to beat guys off the dribble, and he's very active cutting/curling off screens without the ball. Really like his toughness defensively as well, as he works hard off the ball and fights to get over the top of screens.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] rolled to a big win over Martin Brothers on Sunday morning, and a big reason why was Jaidyn's defensive effort. Matched up against a 6'8 forward with multiple D1 offers, Jaidyn used his combination of mobility and strength to limit any good looks his man was able to get. He played with enough physicality to prevent any attacks to the rim, and always had a hand right in his face to force any tough jump-shot attempts. On the offensive end he was a menace in transition, sprinting the floor for multiple dunks and strong finishes at the rim across the two games I saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='2279894' first='Zayn' last='Young'] was one of the most explosive athletes in attendance this past weekend in Appleton. After seeing him throw down an impressive poster on Saturday, Zayn impressed on Sunday with his effort and finishing ability. Despite dropping a pair of games to shoe circuit teams, I came away with his effort and will to win on both ends of the floor. He was battling defensively, and continued to find ways to get to the rim on the offensive end. Zayn can explode off the floor for dunks, and also has the body control to hang in the air and finish acrobatically against size.

Pierless had his [program_tooltip program_id='2422572' first='D1' last='Minnesota Gold'] team in it until the very end with [program_tooltip program_id='2347629' first='Wisconsin' last='PHD'] on Sunday morning. The lefty guard just found ways to get to the rim, and once there proved to be an efficient finisher. He could attack off a straight line drive, was cutting hard without the ball, and sprinted the floor for some transition looks. Does a really nice job of playing off of two feet, which allowed him to gather his balance and go up to finish through contact. Had a number of chances where he took a bump to the shoulder, but kept his chin at the rim and was able to finish.

Christian played with impressive efficiency for [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] on Sunday. It seemed like every shot he took was falling, and it didn't matter if it was from five feet beyond the arc or right at the rim. A big part of that is just how good of a shooter he is, but his shot selection also comes into play. Wiggins doesn't force his game, and is more than happy to pass up a decent look to get an even better one from a teammate. One thing you'll notice about Christian is that the ball doesn't stick in his hands, as he knows exactly what he's going to do when he gets it. Defensively he doesn't shy away from a tough matchup, and showed he can defend just about any spot on the floor.

Talan had impressed me on Saturday with his ability to stretch the floor as a shooter at 6'5. On Sunday he showed me a different side to his game though, as he displayed a level of explosiveness I didn't know he had. Against ABC Young lions he got a full head of steam to the rim and threw down a powerful dunk in traffic. He's someone you have to close out hard on because he can torch you from three, but is also able to utilize a shot fake and blow by you on the baseline to get to the rim. All around impressive weekend from the 6'5 guard.

Travion may not have traditional forward size at around 6'2-6'3, but he rebounds like he's 6'6+. Pate was one of the best rebounders I saw all weekend, and it showed in a win for [program_tooltip program_id='2347629' first='Wisconsin' last='PHD'] on Sunday morning. Offensively he was creating second chance opportunities for his team, while defensively he was ending possessions after one shot. Pate always finds a body to box out, has a strong frame that allows him to clear up space, and doesn't lose any ball he gets his finger tips on. He's a gritty undersized forward who can go out and pull in double-digit rebounds on just about any occasion.
