Becker missed a majority of last season with injuries, and the Muskies are sure happy to have him back. A long, athletic wing who can impact the game on both ends of the floor with his length, he scored 20 points in their win over City High on 5-11 shooting, including going 3-7 from the 3-point line. He moves really well without the ball in his hands and has a quick release off the catch, which, when paired with his advantageous size, makes him shot very difficult for defenders to contest.

Becker dealt with an injury last season, appearing in just six games, but he was productive when he was on the floor averaging 8.5 points and 1.5 assists per game. A skilled wing with a big wingspan and the ability to score from all three levels, he looks healthy and primed to have a huge senior year for a Muskies team that is looking to carry the momentum from last year’s resurgence into this year.

Talan had impressed me on Saturday with his ability to stretch the floor as a shooter at 6’5. On Sunday he showed me a different side to his game though, as he displayed a level of explosiveness I didn’t know he had. Against ABC Young lions he got a full head of steam to the rim and threw down a powerful dunk in traffic. He’s someone you have to close out hard on because he can torch you from three, but is also able to utilize a shot fake and blow by you on the baseline to get to the rim. All around impressive weekend from the 6’5 guard.

Muscatine has a pretty strong 2026 class, headlined by Becker, a versatile and long wing who can do a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor. At 6-5, he has the length to defend multiple positions and the size to shoot over defenders offensively. He shot 37.3% from behind the arc as a sophomore en route to 9.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
