Expert Analysis
Max Wagner | Prep Hoops Scout
Travion may not have traditional forward size at around 6’2-6’3, but he rebounds like he’s 6’6+. Pate was one of the best rebounders I saw all weekend, and it showed in a win for Wisconsin PHD on Sunday morning. Offensively he was creating second chance opportunities for his team, while defensively he was ending possessions after one shot. Pate always finds a body to box out, has a strong frame that allows him to clear up space, and doesn’t lose any ball he gets his finger tips on. He’s a gritty undersized forward who can go out and pull in double-digit rebounds on just about any occasion.

Travion has a great combination of size and athleticism that really stood out to me. He looked really good running the floor in transition for scores around the rim. He was finding success getting downhill, commonly using a spin move to get around his defender where he could finish himself or find a teammate for a better shot. The 2025 prospect can also stretch the floor, as I saw him knock down a couple triples off the catch. Pate was bringing the energy on the defensive end as well, poking the ball free from opponents.
