Travion has a great combination of size and athleticism that really stood out to me. He looked really good running the floor in transition for scores around the rim. He was finding success getting downhill, commonly using a spin move to get around his defender where he could finish himself or find a teammate for a better shot. The 2025 prospect can also stretch the floor, as I saw him knock down a couple triples off the catch. Pate was bringing the energy on the defensive end as well, poking the ball free from opponents.
Trey Mix
Trey Mix
Trey made some key plays in clutch situations for Northstar Titans in a tight win. He has one of the quickest first steps I’ve seen this weekend, being able to make one move and blow right by his defender. He has a variety of moves he can go to once he gets to the basket, having great body control to hang in the air for finishes. Mix is also a high level defender, bringing the intensity and having very fast lateral quickness.
Andrew took over in a big win on Saturday. He was able to score in a variety of ways and seemed to be getting whatever he wanted. He is a knockdown shooter from beyond the arc and was pulling up off the dribble or off the catch. He did a good job of getting in passing lanes, coming away with steals that led to easy scores on the other end. Carlisle was also getting his teammates involved, sometimes bringing the ball up the floor for his team.
Judah made some huge plays down the stretch in an overtime win. Most notably, he connected with an off-balance three-pointer to tie the game before time expired to send it to OT. He worked off the ball the majority of the time, being able to catch a pass then either shoot it or make one move to get downhill. Caine is a capable shooter from beyond the arc, but also attacked the basket aggressively through contact. The athletic sophomore worked hard on the defensive end as well.
Highlights
Ryan was super solid in a win on Saturday, being a swiss-army knife guard for his team. He can stretch the floor with his shooting, being a threat when pulling up off the dribble or when operating in the catch-and-shoot. He is a trustworthy ball handler and has great vision, being able to make the extra pass to teammates for an open look. Beckwith is one piece of a very talented backcourt for the Northstar Titans .
Eli was one of the best passers I’ve seen this weekend and he’s fun to watch running the point for his team. He’s crafty and has many ways he can work around defenders with dribble move combinations. He can attack the lane, being able to make a full speed finish or dish to a teammate for an easy layup at the basket. Zimmerman also has a smooth jumper, as he is a knockdown shooter from beyond the arc.
Nathan played hard on Saturday and was doing a little bit of everything when he was on the floor. He did most of his scoring around the basket, being able to blow by a defender and absorb contact for a finish at the rim. He was tough to stop when he got going in transition, as he could convert on full speed layups. He brought the energy on the defense as well, making opposing ball handlers work for everything. Hahn also served as his team’s main ball handler when he was on the floor, working well against pressure.
