The class of 2025 has made a bunch of commitments to programs at various levels of college basketball and in this article we'll discuss the players in Ohio's 2025 class who are headed to NAIA, NCCAA and JUCO programs.

Mount Vernon Nazarene adds frontcourt duo

[player_tooltip player_id='1432054' first='Kieran' last='Granville-Britten'] is the highest ranked NAIA commit and he's off to Mount Vernon Nazarene alongside forward [player_tooltip player_id='1935950' first='Reed' last='Platfoot']. One of the biggest players size wise in the 2025 class, Granville-Britten has the physical tools to play for a Mount Vernon squad that had monster production from Bailey Conrad and Carter Jones in their frontcourt last season but both were seniors so the freshman duo could earn minutes early in their college careers.

Rio Grande and Lourdes add guard duo

Few teams recruit their local area as well as Rio Grande and Lourdes as Rio Grande has local players like Trent Hundley and Trey Robertson excelling recently for the program and Lourdes saw Joey Holifield and Jackie Harris as star local products. For the Grey wolves, [player_tooltip player_id='2225037' first='Jayden' last='Jones'] of Toledo St John's and [player_tooltip player_id='2610975' first='Blake' last='Robison'] of Anthony Wayne are staying close to home next season. Fairland guard [player_tooltip player_id='1428200' first='Brody' last='Buchanan'] will look to follow in those footsteps as fellow Dragon guard Aiden Porter played last season for the Red Storm. Rio Grande also had [player_tooltip player_id='1888360' first='Luke' last='Sanders'] commit, one of the top guards from Cincinnati.

Wilberforce adds another Garfield Heights product

Wilberforce got production from Germainn Marshall, a Garfield Heights grad, and will now look for [player_tooltip player_id='2042513' first='DeVaughn' last='Jackson'] to step in and have similar success as another Garfield Heights alum.

Defiance stays local for two commits

Defiance made the transition from NCAA Division III to NAIA recently and is starting to attract impressive local talent like [player_tooltip player_id='2436834' first='Carder' last='Orr'] and Grady Toumazos.

Ohio Christian continues to load up on local talent

Ohio Christian had an impressive turnaround season as freshman Caleb Schmelzer, Parker Penrod, Landon Brewer and Dylan Joy combined to score over 45 PPG. The Trailblazers will hope [player_tooltip player_id='2203931' first='Justice' last='Thompson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1285256' first='Austin' last='Webb'] find that same early success.

Edison State adds stretch forward

Lima Shawnee forward [player_tooltip player_id='1432045' first='Jagger' last='Hutchins'] will head to Edison State next season. The OCCAC is filled with former Ohio high school hoopers and Hutchins is our current top ranked commit in the league from Ohio's 2025 class.
