It's still so early for these 2028 rankings that there is a ton of volatility, even at the top. This class looks to be loaded with talent already and there are still plenty of players out there who haven't even been discovered yet. Here's a breakdown of the top point guards in our latest update.

One of the shiftiest guards in Lexington already, Slaughter is very skilled and excels at getting into the paint and making it hard on opposing defenses. AJ needs to continue improving her perimeter shooting to make himself even harder to guard. Long term, Slaughter is a growth spurt away from being a potential D1 recruit.

Mahorn is a steady lead guard with a high IQ. He didn't have the best season scoring the ball but the skill level is evident with Khi's game and he is an above average finisher at his age and size. Woodford County has a young backcourt coming back next season but do not be surprised if Mahorn makes a big leap in his second year.

Ohler was a double figure scorer for a very young Holy Cross squad this past season. Tresson was thrust into a starting role and was able to escape the freshman campaign with some solid numbers and the potential to be much more. Tresson has good size at 6'3 and could see his numbers really climb next season as he has room to improve his overall shooting.

Catholic was very young this past season and Mac was thrown into a bench role right from the beginning and saw his minutes climb as the season went along. Aaron is a very heady point guard who doesn't make a ton of mistakes with the ball in his hands. Long term, Mac should be a scholarship level player and looks like he's still growing in addition to developing his skills.

Stone had a really strong freshman season at Green County and is the first notable transfer of the offseason with his move to Taylor County. Cooper is a crafty guard who can score or create when needed. A primary ball handler most of the time, Stone is effective at getting into the paint and is already strong enough to finish through contact and convert And-1 opportunities.

It's still so early for these 2028 rankings that there is a ton of volatility, even at the top. This class looks to be loaded with talent already and there are still plenty of players out there who haven't even been discovered yet. Here's a breakdown of the top point guards in our latest update.
