The State Tournament: Thursday’s Underclassmen Report

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is your state tournament underclassmen report from the big school semis and the Class A quarters. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126467' first='Baboucarr' last='Ann'] of Maple Grove (6'4, 2027).&nbsp; Ann had three boards, three assists and four scores to get to ten points.&nbsp; CDH controlled that game and they did turn Ann over, but Maple Grove is going for third this week and Ann is a big reason why.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126128' first='Isaiah' last='Asuma'] of Cherry (6'1, 2027).&nbsp; The attacking speed of Asuma was not stopped by BOLD and was a key part of a 32-point win.&nbsp; Asuma attacked the cup for eight scores totalling 16 points plus three assists and six rebounds.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2841075' first='Ben' last='Gullingsrud'] of Red Lake County (2028).&nbsp; Ben came off the bench and hit two big threes and hit a couple foul shots helping his team get a two score win.&nbsp; Big threes for his team on a big stage at 14 or 15 years old.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126117' first='Malachi' last='Hill'] of Totino-Grace (5'11, 2027).&nbsp; Hill attacked Alexandria for 14 points and five assists making 6 of 13 shots.&nbsp; It was a solid performance.&nbsp; Maybe a bit short of what he wanted as TG came up just short, but Hill's attack got through the Cardinals for regular success.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2394170' first='Alex' last='Loos'] of Goodhue (2028, 6'2).&nbsp; A double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds at state as a freshman.
