We released our updated Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings on Monday evening. This update featured our first shot at ranking the Top 25 prospects in the class, over 50 new names, and the growth of our database to nearly 350 names in the current freshman class. As always, here at Prep Hoops Indiana, we don't just release rankings and forget about them. We strive to always dive deeper than that. Throughout this week we will be highlighting each of the Top 25 prospects, going over some of the new names added to the Watch List, and taking a closer look at some of the highest upside prospects that narrowly missed the cut in our initial Top 25. Let's begin right here with prospects 25-21.

Even within our Top 25 prospects there aren't that many having immediate impacts at the varsity level in Class 4A. Love is very thin and not the biggest guard in the class today, but his frame is very projectable. He will grow a couple of more inches and fill out into an impressive two-way guard. His willingness to rebound, 4.5 rebounds per game, is very impressive at his young age. Love also scores 7.9 points per game for the Hawks.

There are a lot of talented young prospects at Ben Davis, but McDuffey is the one who has broken through and earned some varsity minutes as a freshman. That is not easy to do. The talented playmaker is very comfortable with the ball in his hands and can make advanced reads off of a ballscreen for a young player. His development will be fun to follow in the coming years.

Baker is playing behind a very talented backcourt at Lawrence North right now so his time will have to wait until next season, but we immediately identified this prospect as one to watch when attending Lawrence North open gym in the fall. He is a quick-twitch playmaker with impressive shot-creation and shot-making ability as well.

This talented 6'3" left-handed guard burst onto the scene over the summer when he helped lead Team Robinson to the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals 15u Championship Game while playing up a year. DeRossett is a fluid athlete with a pure outside shooting stroke. His freshman season got broken up a bit as he left Fort Wayne Wayne early in the season and is just now getting settled at Huntington North, but he is deserving of Top 25 status for now.

When we attended New Palestine open gym back in the fall we immediately recognized that Davison was going to make an impact for the Dragons as a freshman. That isn't easy to do considering they are a legitimate state title contender in Class 3A. However, the 6'3" freshman guard has found a role in the rotation averaging 4.0 points per game while shooting 24-59 (40.7%) from three-point range.
