MVP

[player_tooltip player_id='1552512' first='Zavier' last='Zens'], 6-7, Jr., F, Wisconsin Lutheran
Almost always a very productive player, Zens showed his ability to score in different ways and make clutch plays as Wisconsin Lutheran nipped Marshfield 57-55 in the Division 1 title game. Trailing 55-52 late, Zens converted two drives to the basket off of Marshfield turnovers to give the Vikings the lead for good. He finished the game with 19 points, three rebounds and three assists. Zens also had 22 points and six rebounds in the Vikings' 58-57 win over Oshkosh North in the semifinals.

All-Tournament Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1282617' first='Xzavion' last='Mitchell'], 6-7, Sr., F, Oshkosh North
The Mr. Basketball award winner was a bit off his game in the first half, thanks in large part to the strong defense turned in by 6-foot-8 sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2140949' first='Kager' last='Knueppel'] of Wisconsin Lutheran. But Mitchell got it going in the second half as Oshkosh North rallied from a 37-27 deficit to take a 54-52 lead with 5:33 left on a floating jump shot in the lane by Mitchell. Wisconsin Lutheran made some big plays down the stretch and got a stop on Oshkosh North's last possession to get the win, but Mitchell had 15 of his 27 points after intermission. He also had 13 rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots and two steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1973108' first='Alex' last='Greene'], 6-4, Sr., G, Wisconsin Lutheran
There is a place in basketball for a player who looks a bit more like an offensive guard on the football team that a skilled wing player on the basketball squad. Greene proved that point over the weekend as his strong play in both of Wisconsin Lutheran's victories helped the Vikings capture their second straight state championship after winning the Division 2 crown in 2024. Greene had 11 points, four rebounds and two assists in the one-point win over Oshkosh North, and then he contributed 11 points, three rebounds, four assists and four steals in the two-point win over Marshfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140949' first='Kager' last='Knueppel'], 6-8, Soph., F, Wisconsin Lutheran
In addition to playing strong defense on [player_tooltip player_id='1282617' first='Xzavion' last='Mitchell'] and limiting the Iowa State recruit to just nine-of-30 from the field in the semifinals, Knueppel also contributed 13 points and swished three triples in the win over Oshkosh North. In the title game with Marshfield, Knueppel had 10 points, three assists and a steal. He showed his offensive versatility by making long-distance shots along with scoring with his back to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2426092' first='Landon' last='Lee'], 5-11, Sr., G, Marshfield
Lee was good in the Tigers' semifinal win over Waunakee, but he was sensational in the tough-to-swallow loss to Wisconsin Lutheran. In the biggest game of his high school career, Lee scored 22 points, passed four four assists, had three rebounds and came up with two steals. He made four-of-six shots from three-point range in the championship game while also using his speed and quick first step to get to the basket. In the semifinal win over Waunakee, Lee had nine points, three rebounds and two assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1244808' first='Brooks' last='Hinson'], 6-2, Sr., G, Marshfield
Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1973149' first='Chris' last='Pohl'] of Marshfield had a strong showing for the Tigers in Madison and certainly was close to a spot on the Prep Hoops All-Tournament squad. But Hinson's presence on the court was vital in Marshfield's win over Waunakee and narrow loss to Wisconsin Lutheran. The two-time Player of the Year in the Wisconsin Valley Conference had 18 points and eight rebounds in the 57-47 win over Waunakee, and he had five points, seven rebounds and three assists in the loss to Wisconsin Lutheran. His physicality, smart decision making and ability to make big shots were key to Marshfield's success all season.

DIVISION 2

MVP
[player_tooltip player_id='1561869' first='Matthew' last='Kloskey'], 6-5, Jr., F, Wauwatosa West
Without question one of the most improved players in the state, Kloskey was attacking the basket with authority all weekend for Wauwatosa West. He also established a record for most steals in a tournament at the Division 2 level with 15 after he had seven steals in the Trojans' 65-63 win over Cedarburg in the semifinals. Robinson's unselfishness, defensive prowess and ability to handle the ball against pressure were big keys in Park's success this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2493692' first='Jaxson' last='Moss'], 6-7, Sr., F, Racine Park
Another of the vastly improved players in the state, Moss showed his ability to make shots in the paint and from the perimeter while also getting on the glass and sharing the ball with his passing skills. Czajkowski scored eight of his game-high 19 points during the first 18 minutes, and he played at the same high level in the second half. In addition to his scoring, Czajkowski also played strong defense as he had six steals in the contest.

DIVISION 3

MVP
[player_tooltip player_id='1390441' first='Devin' last='Brown'], 6-7, Sr., F, Milwaukee Academy of Science
Brown was outstanding in both games for coach Agape Keys' squad as he went for 19 points, 12 rebounds and two blocked shots in a 65-61 win over Lake Mills in the semifinals before finishing 17 points and 19 rebounds in the 57-54 championship-game win over Freedom. Batemon had 22 points and three rebounds in the win over Lake Mills before contributing 16 points and four rebounds in the win over Freedom.

[player_tooltip player_id='2492814' first='Drew' last='Kortz'], 6-1, Sr., G, Freedom
Kortz did it all for Freedom, scoring 29 points and coming up with two steals for the Irish in their loss to Academy of Science. He made one big shot after another for coach Andrew Gibbons' squad and he was equally impressive in Freedom's 66-32 win over Elk Mound as he had 27 points in that contest. Stevens Point and Whitewater are among the schools expressing the most recruiting interest in Kortz.

[player_tooltip player_id='1847792' first='Donovan' last='Davis'], 6-8, Soph., F, Freedom
Davis made a strong case for being the top player in Wisconsin's ultra talented 2027 class as he put together two stellar performances.
