In what's become annual tradition, the DIAA state tournament will move to University of Delaware and the Bob Carpenter Center for a Friday-night semifinal doubleheader. This year's edition features four of the premier programs in the state, as defending champion Dover takes on St. George's Tech and St. Elizabeth's matches up with Sanford School. We take a look here at the top long-term prospects who'll be on the floor at "The Bob" competing for a spot in the state title game.

The torch-carrier for Delaware's 2025 class from the time he entered high school, Taylor will look to cap his career with a state tile on the home floor of his soon-to-be college program. A jumping-jack hybrid forward who's gradually expanded his skillset over the years, he's a consistent force around both rims with his explosive leaping ability and high-running motor. Taylor brings great versatility on the defensive end, able to slide up a position to bang inside and protect the rim or guard perimeter-based forwards and wings. The incorporation of a reliable standstill jumper has been the cherry on top. Taylor has the upside of a future key contributor for the Blue Hens, but a state championship is the first order of business.

With as high an upside as any in the state, Obiora has made a massive leap from a toolsy role player to a highly productive focal point. Perhaps most intriguing is how raw and unpolished he still is while having turned into such a consistent performer for a state title contender. There simply aren't many prospects his size who move with the fluidity and athletic pop as he does; toss in a motor and feel for the game, and you've really got the makings of an interesting prospect. Obiora looks like one who could really make some noise on the recruiting front this spring and summer as he refines his game and gains experience playing with and against higher-level players on a steady basis.

Representing for downstate Delaware will be Dover and Denis, their junior swingman who's already begun capturing the attention of D1 coaches. A lengthy and fluid athlete on the wing who looks like he could still add an inch or two, Denis is really effective getting out in transition as a steady threat to finish above the rim. He shoots a smooth ball in the halfcourt with a quick release off the catch. Defensively, Denis shows quick feet while using his length to pester opposing ballhandlers. Some added strength and increased ball skills could be all that's needed for Denis to secure that elusive D1 offer.

As prolific a shotmaker as you'll find in the states, Hunter has grown leaps and bounds since transferring up from Maryland as a junior. Having leaned out his frame significantly and matured in his approach, Hunter is much more consistent and efficient while using his ruthlessly dangerous jump shot to efficiently pour in buckets from all over the floor. Where he's developed most notably is in his shot selection and commitment to using his frame on defense and the glass. With the possibility of a prep year in play, there looks to be further upside to tap into here for a scholarship-level program looking for a floor-spacing dimension on the wing.

He may be the furthest away from a finished product, but there's no doubting that Reid's upside could rival that of anybody on this list. A mobile and athletic forward packed with lean strength, he mostly thrives for now as an above-rim finisher off of dumpoffs or out in transition. Reid shows toughness while defending on the interior with the athleticism to contribute as a secondary rim protector. His physical tools and motor are the main allure for now, with D1 opportunities likely in his future if the 15-year-old can start to refine his skillset.

A versatile lefty wing guard, Webster has made a key impact for the Warriors since transferring over from Caravel Academy. He's a true jack-of-all-trades who can contribute in any number of ways based on the skillsets of those surrounding him. Able to get downhill from the wing or operate as a secondary ballhandler, Webster also provides a consistent floor-spacing element off the catch. Young for his grade with developing athleticism, there looks to be scholarship-level upside here as he gains big-game experience and finds where exactly he's best off hanging his hat.

Another young prospect with clear long-term upside, Price is a key swing piece for the Vikings as they look to avenge last year's semifinal loss. A microwave scorer off the bench, he has a real nose for finding the bucket, building his game around a smooth high-release shooting stroke that should translate seamlessly as he moves up in levels. Far from a one-trick pony, Price also shows some polish and quickness attacking closeouts or pressuring the rim in transition, with length and athleticism to finish in traffic. As the game slows down for him and he becomes more consistent in his contributions, look for Price to begin catching the eye of scholarship-level programs.
