Hit a couple early threes to silence the crowd. Then when the lead was as narrow as three in the second quarter, he was the Pirate to step up and score a couple tough buckets to give them breathing room at the half. Finished with a game high 23 points on 13 field goal attempts. Complete guard, who also made some big time passes on drives. After a sluggish second quarter saw Dale start the second half with a narrow lead by their usual standards; it was a pair of threes from the senior PG that silenced any chance of a comeback. Including a nice hesi pull up. His scoring was a key part of a 18-0 run to start the second half. He's often an unsung hero on a team filled with college standouts, but the baseball-basketball standout is a very vital part of their success. Finished with 21 points, 14 of them coming in the first half. Season may have came to a close, but it was a productive State Tournament appearance for Mitchell. He was unstoppable, on his way to 16 points. Living at the rim, hitting in the mid-range and controlling the paint. Very impressive all around showing, which sat the tone for a blowout victory. Propelling the panhandle squad to another Class 2A semifinals appearance. Hidalgo and [player_tooltip player_id='2335349' first='Keilan' last='Robinson'] are one heck of an one two punch and have the Bulldoogs one step closer to Gold.
