Good energy throughout the game from Stroops. Flew around for an impressive tip in at one point. Held his ground against stronger built and taller SCP players. Closed out the game with a few jumpers. Stroops is a promising collegiate prospect, because he can provide scoring punch and seems to be embracing defense and rebounding responsibilities. Which should help him adjust quicker to the next level.

An eastern Oklahoma sleeper no more, Stroops is a legit wing. Smooth shooter off the bounce or as a spot threat. Can put it on the floor to attack mismatches against forwards, or use his height advantage against guards. Unique skillset for his size in Oklahoma. Giving him one of the higher long term upsides among the prospects outside the top 15.

Stroops does a good job of balancing his long term potential as a perimeter player, while also playing in the interior and rebounding for Pocola. Attacks mismatches downlow, pump fakes and is very efficient at the rim. Smooth as a pull up shooter, capable in mid-range or from behind the arc. Flashed some above the rim finishing ability as well. Complete scorer, who is taking the responsibility of keeping the strong recent tradition at Pocola going.

Tall and skilled guard, who also wasn’t afraid to get his nose dirty. Finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Long stride allows him to easily eat up ground in transition and drives. Only hit one triple, but it was a big one to end the first half. Did most of his damage in the mid-range and battling at the rim. While Pocola has been a regular at the State Tournament, today was Stroops’ first trip. He embraced the big lights and even hit clutch free throws in the overtime session.
