Expert Analysis
Garry Siehndel | Prep Hoops Scout
While Fairland came up short in the title game, losing to Dale, Schertz was a big bright spot for his team. The 6’4″ guard proved to be one of the best athletes on the court and showed an ability to hang in the air and finish around the rim. The senior was able to get downhill and attack off the bounce, putting pressure on Dale defenders early and often. Carson is a long athlete that continues to show the state that he can be dynamic with the ball in his hands.

A smooth guard, who uses his size advantage as a physical finisher. One of the more complete players on this list. As he battles for rebounds. And has a cannon and vision when to comes to outlet passes and running the show in the halfcourt. Expect 20 point games on the regular, while he also stuffs the statsheet. Made the 2A semifinals last year, now looking to take his northeastern Oklahoma squad two wins further.

The 6’2 listing on his bio might be short changing the big guard a bit. Because he’s very physical and plays big on drives, with defenders bouncing off of him in the highlights. Which part of that must be the football background he has. Good mix of smoothness as a scorer, with the steel to get it done against contact. His perimeter shooting wasn’t as highlighted as much in this tape. But high school viewings back up his ability to light it up from deep.

Multi sport standout, who did it ALL in Fairland’s win. Tied it up to end the third quarter with a coast to coast finish, that was sparked by his defense at the rim. Went for a very impressive 14 point and 15 rebound double double. His baseball and QB background was on display with his vision and cannon of an arm for on the money outlet passes. All around winning display for the northeastern Oklahoma standout.
