Each week during the high school season, Prep Hoops Wisconsin and Zaleski Sports will select boys' basketball teams of the week across the WIAA's five divisions. Here are this weeks honored squads:

DIVISION 1 … HOMESTEAD

Homestead pulled within two games of league-leading Slinger in the North Shore Conference and ended the Owls' 18-game winning streak last Friday by posting a 74-64 road victory. The impressive triumph avenged a 70-69 loss to Slinger in the Homestead gym in mid December. Northern Michigan recruit Trevor Polite Trevor Polite Trevor Polite 6'6" | SF/SG Homestead | 2025 State WI (6-6) had 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Highlanders, who have won their last six contests. Michigan Tech recruit Justin Bleisner Justin Bleisner Justin Bleisner 6'5" | SF Homestead | 2025 State WI (6-5) also played well for Homestead as he finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists. (5-10) Oliver Belot Oliver Belot Oliver Belot 6'0" | CG Homestead | 2027 State WI (6-0) added 13 and 15 points, respectively. The Highlanders also registered a win over Hartford last week as Belot netted 22 and Rogers contributed 18. Homestead continues league play this week with games against Port Washington (Tuesday) and Whitefish Bay (Friday).

DIVISION 2 ... NEW BERLIN WEST

A victory over your cross-town rival followed by a win over one of the better teams in the state. It was indeed a week to feel good about for the New Berlin West Vikings as coach Scott Cook's squad posted a 67-50 triumph over New Berlin Eisenhower on Tuesday and then turned back West Allis Central 82-72 on Friday. The Vikings have won six games in a row and stand at 14-5 heading into games this week against Woodland West Conference heavyweights Pewaukee (Tuesday) and Wisconsin Lutheran (Friday). Cook's son, sophomore lefty Jayce Cook Jayce Cook Jayce Cook 6'1" | SG New Berlin West | 2027 State WI (6-1), was on fire against West Allis Central as he scored 31 points and drilled six three-point shots. Sophomore Zach Hewitt Zach Hewitt 6'4" | SF New Berlin West | 2027 State WI (6-4) added 20 points, four rebounds and four assists while junior Evan Kern Evan Kern Evan Kern 6'2" | SG New Berlin West | 2026 State WI (6-2) had 13 points, six rebounds and four assists. Kern also was big in New Berlin West's win over New Berlin Eisenhower as he finished with a team-best 20 points.

DIVISION 3 ... LAKE COUNTRY LUTHERAN

Once again, Lake Country Lutheran is king of the hill in the Midwest Classic Conference. The traditionally strong Lighting won a pair of league outings last week and stretched their winning streak to nine games by beating Living Word Lutheran 71-60 last Friday. Coach Mark Newman's club also beat league-newcomer Kingdom Prep Lutheran last week. Living Word Lutheran came into Lake Country Lutheran with an unbeaten conference record, but the Timberwolves headed home with a loss thanks to 48 percent shooting from the field. UW-River Falls recruit Daniel Cleary Daniel Cleary Daniel Cleary 6'8" | SF Lake Country Lutheran | 2025 State WI (6-8) had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Lightning to lead the way over Living Word Lutheran. DIVISION 4 ... WESTFIELD

Everything came together in a big-time way for the Pioneers in their showdown with South Central Conference power Wisconsin Dells last week. Westfield notched a 69-55 triumph over the visiting Chiefs to create a deadlock at the top of the league standings with the Pioneers and Wisconsin Dells both sporting 6-1 conference marks. Westfield improved to 13-4 overall behind 25 points and eight rebounds from senior Sam Berruecos Sam Berruecos Sam Berruecos 6'0" | PG/SG Westfield | 2025 WI (6-0), who is averaging 21.5 ppg and 5.1 rpg for coach Nick Brakebush's squad. Westfield has a busy week ahead with games against Rio, Nekoosa and Portage.

DIVISION 5 ... TIGERTON

Sophomore center James Brady James Brady James Brady 6'9" | C Tigerton | 2027 State WI (6-9) was dominant in the 93-51 win over Bowler as he finished with 33 points and 12 rebounds.
