On Thursday, February 6th, the Metro Classic returned to the state of New Jersey for another year at Franklin High School in Somerset, NJ. The first day of matchups featured not only some of New Jersey best public school teams this season but also some of New Jersey's best private school programs. In the second part of this article, let's take a look at the rest of the guys that stood out over the course of Thursday's first slate of games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2344521' first='Micah' last='Gordon'] shined in the ways he was able to score the basketball for Planfield. Gordon was super aggressive in attacking the rim, both in the halfcourt and in transition. Gordon used an array of hesitation dribbles to get downhill and finish at the rim in different ways— whether it finishing at the rim through contact, or different types of floaters, Gordon showcased his ability to generate rim pressure. Gordon finished the game with 27 points and 10 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1786395' first='Luke' last='Schorr'] shined in his ability to be a threat from the perimeter, knocking down multiple open catch and shoot threes.
