A prospect who is known for being a standout on the diamond, Wardop has had a strong Junior season for Toledo Central Catholic as a knockdown shooter off the ball. Catching and shooting with confidence when he was given time and space, Wardop made the defense pay for losing him on the perimeter. I was also impressed with his feel on the ball as he made a handful of impressive passes in transition for assist opportunities. Wardop also knocked down shots just before the first and third quarter buzzer, giving his team some momentum. Wardop is one of the top multi-sport athletes in the Toledo area and a name to know in 2026.

Our top ranked Sophomore in the state of Ohio, Mack-Russell had a big game as he flat out produced for the Irish. I was impressed with Mack-Russell's passing ability as he hit a couple drift passes to shooters in the corner. An impressive operator in tight spaces on the ball, Mack-Russell can squeeze through the defense with his dribble moves and use different angles to finish at the rim. I also was impressed by his motor on the offensive glass, getting a handful of second chance opportunities. Mack-Russell's best move of the game came on a right to left crossover where he finished a tough and-1 layup at the rim. The next step for his game will be to become a more knockdown 3-point shooter on the wing, that will elevate his game to another level from where it already is.

One of the top all around athletes in recent Michigan high school history, Glassnor is a flat out winner. One of the more acrobatic finishers I've seen all season at the high school level, Glassnor floats in the air and has incredible touch and spin on layups at the basket. His toughest 3-point shot on the night caused a tweaked ankle on the play but Glassnor came back in and had another few clutch plays to carry his team to victory. Big fan of the competitiveness Glassnor plays with on the court.

Brother Rice ended up winning a tight contest over Toledo St Francis to advance to the semifinals and Williams made some key shots on the wing to help his team. With a strong frame and huge legs, Williams has a college ready body to play on or off the ball as a guard. With that frame Williams drew a few fouls as he is able to take contact and play off of it. I was impressed with the overall physicality and unselfishness Brother Rice played with on Saturday.

A huge performance from Brown who made a bunch of timely shots to bring St Francis within striking distance in the final minute of the game. A quick guard who can change directions and speeds in a flash, it was tough for Brother Rice to stay in front of Brown and when he's hitting shots, it's going to be a long night defending him. Really impressed with his microwave scoring ability and creating something out of nothing over and over again in the half-court.

The top player in Michigan's 2025 class, McKenney returned from injury and had an impressive game leading his team to victory. A strong guard, McKenney does an excellent job of hitting the defense first and playing off his physicality. With excellent touch, McKenney profiles as an elite shot maker at the high major college level. I was also impressed with the pair of blocks McKenney had, including one that he pinned off the backboard. Not much more can be said about McKenney, he's one of the highest ranked guards in the country and staying in-state to put on the Maize and Blue.

One of Ohio's bigger risers from their senior class, Jones has had a stellar senior season for Toledo St John's. An impressive athlete with good defensive instincts, Jones had a handful of steals and deflections on Saturday. As a driver, Jones is playing with way more confidence than he showed as a Junior and isn't hesitating when attacking off the dribble. Really impressive to see the confidence spike for Jones from where he was at 12 months ago.
