Along with in-person coverage of this quarterfinal matchup, Prep Hoops Indiana had eyes and ears in gyms across the other Indianapolis City Tournament contests as well as the handful of other games being played across the state on Thursday evening. Let's dive on in and highlight some of the under-the-radar prospects that shined in the City Tournament.

Brigham Jr. has certainly been on our radar for a while dating back to when he put up impressive numbers as a freshman for the Eagles. Now, the physical 6'1" guard is leading a team capable of making some postseason noise in Class 2A. The junior guard scored 15 points while pulling down 6 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists on Thursday night as Christel House "upset" Cardinal Ritter 80-71.

Cousins has certainly done his part to put himself on the radar throughout his senior season at Crispus Attucks. However, we will still include the 5'11" playmaking guard in this write-up. He scored 11 points to go with 3 rebounds and 2 assists in Thursday night's 97-57 win over Arsenal Tech as Crispus Attucks advanced to the Indianapolis City Tournament Semifinals.

The Eagles' leading scorer on the season coming into the Thursday night's contest, Jackson backed up his 12.6 points per game average by scoring 14 in the 80-71 win over Cardinal Ritter. Jackson is a very strong guard who plays through contact well while maintaining the agility and athleticism necessary to operate and create on the perimeter. He hit some big shots, made some big defensive plays, and came down with important rebounds to help send Christel House in the Indianapolis City Tournament Semifinals.

Christel House got off to a strong start immediately jumping out to a 9-0 lead, but Cardinal Ritter responded and led by five points after one quarter and nine going into the halftime break. However, that is when Meredith stepped up. The senior guard scored 10 points in the third quarter and another seven in fourth as the Eagles mounted their comeback and eventually moved on to the semifinals with an 80-71 win over Cardinal Ritter. Meredith scored a team-leading 25 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 3 assists. His relentless driving ability and consistent finishing at the rim really stood out in this matchup.

One of several athletic guards for Christel House, Russ got things going in the second quarter to keep his team in the game and then continued his strong play into the second half where the Eagles were able to come from behind and knock of Class 2A #9 Cardinal Ritter 80-71. Russ is a very unselfish player who made several nice passes when the help defense would converge, but then elevated to score when they didn't. He finished as Christel House's second leading scorer on the night with 17 points.

Thomas continues to put together a strong senior season for Crispus Attucks. The super athletic, 6'3" wing finished with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals as the Tigers advanced to the Indianapolis City Tournament Semifinals with a 97-57 win over Arsenal Tech. This left-handed slasher/driver continues to look like a potential JUCO/small college prospect.

It was truly a breakout night for Wade despite the loss. Cardinal Ritter fell 80-71 to Christel House, but this 6'2" guard shot the lights out finishing with 27 points to lead all scorers. Whether it was a pull-up jump shot off of a ballscreen, a quick release catch-and-shoot three, or the heave he hit from the opposite free throw line going into halftime it just seemed like everything was going in for Wade. He really showed some tight ball handling skills as well as he used a left-to-right crossover consistently to create his own shot. Definitely a stock-rising guard to keep an eye on here in the Class of 2026.

It was once against [player_tooltip player_id='1969341' first='TJ' last='Williams'] leading the way for Purdue Poly Englewood on Thrusday night as they advanced to the Indianapolis City Tournament Semifinal with a 59-57 win over Covenant Christian. The 6'3" junior guard scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Techies who are now 12-6 on the season. Williams has really emerged this season as an under-the-radar guard to follow in the Class of 2026.
