If you want to talk about a player that stepped when his team needed him to, it starts with senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2046155' first='Ben' last='Bremer']. Bremer, who ended up with 8 points, was the hero for the Greyhounds hitting the three-point shot that would eventually lead them to victory. With Chas Daniels being ejected, Bremer was the guy who stepped up in the backcourt and brought that senior leadership. His play led to the biggest moment in high school season this year.

It was a team effort that led Carmel to upsetting Fishers, but the Greyhounds would not have been there if it was not for the play of senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1560952' first='Evan' last='Harrell']. With a team-high 18 points, Harrell carried Carmel in many ways setting the tone of the game early. He showed his talent around the rim and knocked down some huge threes, as well. The Bellamine signee was special vs Fishers.

Fishers had such an up-and-down game, but the most consistent player for them all game long was senior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1509229' first='Kai' last='McGrew']. When Fishers needed ANYTHING on either end of the floor, it was McGrew who stepped up. With a game-high 22 points, McGrew was so dominant around the rim and did such a good job finishing through contact and getting to the free throw line. McGrew went out putting everything on the floor.

It was only the second game back for junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2267046' first='Jason' last='Gardner Jr.'] and while there was of course some rust, he still was able to find ways to make plays throughout the game for the Tigers. He finished with 13 points for Fishers with all of his points coming from tough drives and getting to the line. Gardner Jr. has such a special way to impact the game on both ends of the floor and is just a player you cannot ever count out from making a player. It will be interesting to see what is next for this elite guard.
