<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A back and forth Class 3A Sectional Championship between the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs and the Heritage Hills Patriots at Boonville High School saw the Bulldogs jump out to an early 9-2 lead behind their defense speeding up the Patriot offense and 6'3” Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2172596' first='Marrius' last='Harris'] leading the way with 5 points while 6'5” Junior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2489650' first='Landon' last='Hardy'] got going with 4 points coming from around the basket. The Patriots didn't go away though as the Junior Trio or 6'6” Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2140443' first='Tait' last='Wetzel'], 6'3” Wing [player_tooltip player_id='3517623' first='Micah' last='Toler'], and 6'1” Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140370' first='Gunner' last='Lubbehusen'] led the Patriots on a 12-5 run to end the quarter to trail Evansville Bosse 14-12 after 1. Toler and Wetzel were the beneficiaries of 3 assists from Lubbehusen combining for 9 of the Patriots 12 1st Quarter points while both being active on the boards early.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Same story in the 2nd Quarter as both teams went on runs to end the half tied at 29. 5'8” Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2408663' first='Elijah' last='Chinn'] came in off the bench scoring 8 points in the quarter the lead the Bulldogs at half. 6'6” Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='1760994' first='Dorion' last='Bowen'] was a stat sheet stuffer with 6 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists. The Patriots mounted their big comeback in the half in the form of an 8-1 run in the last 2:22 to head into halftime all knotted up. Saint Francis 6'6” Wing Commit [player_tooltip player_id='1560951' first='Jake' last='Prior'] was aggressive early and often scoring 9 points to go with 7 rebounds to lead the Patriots. Before picking up his fourth foul, Heritage Hills showed their resiliency once again climbing back to take a 43-42 lead. Then, [player_tooltip player_id='2172596' first='Marrius' last='Harris'] went to work scoring Bosse's next 15 points to seal the Sectional Championship victory for the Bulldogs defeating Heritage Hills 64-52. Harris led three Bulldogs in double figures and all scorers with 22 points and 6 rebounds. The WKU Baseball commit has a physical style of play that excels at getting paint touches and scoring at the rim. He's able to play through contact and rise up over defenders with his athleticism and score with either hand as well as with a soft touch in the midrange. He's a defensive stopper that plays with great energy and effort. He scored 15 consecutive points for the Bulldogs, and it was from all over the court. He's a slippery driver that's able to finish in a variety of crafty ways around the basket with either hand. The 6'6” Wing is a versatile scorer at this level that did most of his damage from three and in the midrange. He's capable of being a playmaker on the wing that got really good at catching and ripping through and hitting the midrange jumper over the top of defenders.
