Gunner Lubbehusen Gunner Lubbehusen 6'2" | PG Tecumseh | 2027 IN is an athletic guard that’s comfortable playing on or off the ball. He’s known as one of the top defenders in the area. He does an excellent job of moving his feet and manipulating where he wants his matchup to go. Quick twitch athlete that can change directions in a hurry. Thrives in transition where he’s extremely slippery with the ball being able to fit in tight spaces to get free for a wide open layup. Capable shooter off the catch, he’s best when he’s getting downhill where he can use his length to either finish over the top of the defense or can find open shooters off his penetration. The Braves have huge aspirations this season to win the programs first sectional championship since 2010, and Lubbehusen makes them a major threat in 1A Sectional 64.

After spending the last 3 seasons at Heritage Hills, The 6’2” Guard has transferred for his last season to Tecumseh and will make a huge impact on a Tecumseh team that returns 100% of production from a season ago. Gunner is a high energy defensive minded guard that defends the other teams best perimeter player and has the ability to completely take them out of the game. Plays with active hands and a physicality while guarding multiple positions. Rebounds well from the guard spot and thrives in transition. Tempo pushing guard that’s able to get going on the offensive end by getting in the lane where he’s excellent with a floater. The defensive minded 6’1” guard has played some of his best basketball in the games I’ve attended. He’s a menace in the defensive end with quick feet and active hands that has the other team’s guard in panic full court. Offensively he’s a steady guard that is a heavy right hand driver when he tries to get in the lane. Has shown the ability to make good decisions off the bounce while balancing creating his own looks and opportunities for his teammates. He’s been a consistent three-point shooter that has been a big improvement over the last couple years. He catches it on balance and is now shooting with a lot of confidence. Lubbehusen staying steady and playing turnover free will be huge for the Patriots as we get closer to tournament time.

The Junior Point Guard came out and showed the work he has put in on his jump shot. Came out and hit four perimeter shots with confidence. Would like to see him get downhill more and create looks for himself. Did a a great job rebounding his position. Struggled at time with turnovers against the length and speed of New Albany, but that speed is a factor he probably won’t see from another team this season.
