to run the point. The defensive minded 6’1” guard has played some of his best basketball in the games I’ve attended. He’s a menace in the defensive end with quick feet and active hands that has the other team’s guard in panic full court. Offensively he’s a steady guard that is a heavy right hand driver when he tries to get in the lane. Has shown the ability to make good decisions off the bounce while balancing creating his own looks and opportunities for his teammates. He’s been a consistent three-point shooter that has been a big improvement over the last couple years. He catches it on balance and is now shooting with a lot of confidence. Lubbehusen staying steady and playing turnover free will be huge for the Patriots as we get closer to tournament time.

The Junior Point Guard came out and showed the work he has put in on his jump shot. Came out and hit four perimeter shots with confidence. Would like to see him get downhill more and create looks for himself. Did a a great job rebounding his position. Struggled at time with turnovers against the length and speed of New Albany, but that speed is a factor he probably won’t see from another team this season.

Defensive minded junior guard out of Heritage Hills that impacts the game without having to score. Plays with great energy and a high motor on both ends. Steady guard that thrives on getting downhill and has a nice floater in the lane. Improving three-point shooter that he doesn’t force. Capable of knocking them down when he’s open. Versatile defender that can guard multiple positions. Good anticipation skills in passing lanes as well as on the ball. Stepping into a bigger role for the Patriots this season.

Another young Heritage Hills High School product that attended the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp that could be leaned upon to pick up some slack left behind by the departure of Trent Sisley. Lubbehusen knocked in a deep three-point shot in the right wing during 5-on-5 play and showcased some intriguing offensive skill level throughout the event.
