There aren't many guys in the state who can move like Omar can at 6'8+. He looks more coordinated and a bit quicker than I remember from last season, and against Hiawatha he was comfortable putting the ball on the floor to get to the rim. Omar was running the floor hard for transition buckets, and in the half-court was able to attack gaps with one dribble to get all the way to the rim. Has the explosive burst to make an impact as a finisher and shot blocker, and worked hard on the glass to retain possessions for his team. Ended up fouling out late in the game, but scored 22 points in a close win for his team.

Brady showed off the level of shooting touch that makes him such a threat out on the arc at 6'9. In a big win over Chanhassen, Brady would go 7-8 from three point range, making 7 in a row from beyond the arc to give his team a big boost offensively. Looked dangerous out of the pick & pop, and did a nice job of finding pockets of space to catch and shoot when a teammate drove the lane. Brady ran the floor hard in transition, competed on the glass, and showed no problems moving his feet to defend smaller players out on the perimeter. He finished with 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists on the night.

Abu came out aggressive from the jump against Farmington. His combination of strength, explosiveness, and finishing touch at 6'5 made him tough to stop. Even against a Farmington team with plenty of size, Abu was finding ways to slash to the basket, get two feet in the paint, and go up balanced to finish at a high percentage in traffic. Showed touch extending out to mid-range as well. Park Center came out with a ton of intensity defensively, and Abu's athleticism at 6'5 helped cover a lot of ground and force errors out of Farmington. He ended the game with 25 points in a win.

King was a big reason why both of Blake's starting bigs fouled out, and why Hiawatha was in the game during the final minutes of play. He's such an intriguing prospect long term, as already there aren't many players in the state that combine size, strength, and explosive athleticism like King does. James was dangerous facing up out of the high post, and exploding to the rim off the dribble. Also showed continuously improving touch from beyond the arc, going 2-5 from deep as he continues to become more confident in his shot. He's an absolute workhorse on the glass, pulling in 10 boards while going up against a pair of 6'7-6'8 forwards, while also hustling for 2 blocks and 3 steals on the defensive end.

Much like last season, Minnetonka doesn't play a true big man. Because of that, Malachi takes on the role of a scrappy, undersized forward for this team. At 6'2, Malachi has a strong frame, and really knows how to clear out space with a box-out in order to secure rebounds in bulk. Battles for position when defending against bigger players, making things difficult around the rim. On the offensive end he has good hands to catch just about everything in the paint, and excels at powering his way to finishes in traffic. Provides a reliable dump-off option when one of his guards drives the lane. He finished with 11 points in the win over Breck, right around his season average on the year.

Benett was one of a few brights spots in the tough loss for Chanhassen on Friday. He started off the game strong, getting to the rim for a pair of finishes early on. He does a nice job of utilizing his 6'5 frame to extend and finish, getting his lay-ups off before a shot blocking threat has time to slide in and contest. When he's not able to beat a defender with speed, Benett does a nice job of using his body to back guys down into deep position. Moves well at 6'5 so that he's able to defend a number of spots on the floor, while also providing an extra rebounding threat for his team.

Aiden is a nice 3&D player for this talented Blake team. On Thursday he provided an outlet on the perimeter for his bigs to kick it out to, always with his hands and feet ready to shoot once the defense collapsed. Quick player who moves his feet well laterally to pressure the ball out on the perimeter. He finished with an important 13 points in the tight win over Hiawatha, and has now scored in double figures in three straight games for one of the best teams in Class AA.
