The Giants of Ben Davis have been on a roll this season without their top player, Notre Dame football signee [player_tooltip player_id='1373105' first='Mark' last='Zackery'], and that trend continued Wednesday night with their 10th straight win, this time over the Southport Cardinals. Ben Davis pretty much controlled the game throughout even with the challenge of their leading scorer on the season, rising junior [player_tooltip player_id='2625235' first='JaShawn' last='Ladd'] getting in early foul trouble in the first half. Luckily, it was Kentucky Wesleyan commit [player_tooltip player_id='1749499' first='Tavion' last='Williams'] that continued being a dominant force in the paint leading the Giants with 16 points. With Ladd being in foul trouble, junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2452919' first='Sherman' last='Moss'] stepped up and added 11 points off the bench. With the win, Ben Davis will play Lawrence North in the semifinals.

The was arigaaly the game of the night in the state of Indiana. In what was a tight battle throughout, Lawrence North was able to squeak by and get some slight revenge over Warren Central with their impressive 41-39 win to advance to the semifinals to face Ben Davis. Warren Central had previously beat Lawrence North this past weekend and nearly did so on Wednesday night. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1297060' first='Jevon' last='Guess'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1381525' first='Davion' last='Hampton'] had some big time performances Wednesday night but it was not enough to get past Butler signee [player_tooltip player_id='1296979' first='Azavier' last='Robinson'] and his Wildcats. With Robinson struggling for the most part, Lawrence North had some big time performances from both [player_tooltip player_id='1561109' first='Jamar' last='Thomas'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1561031' first='Cameron' last='Webster']. Lawrence North gets their 10th win of the season.
