[player_tooltip player_id='2374347' first='Aaron' last='McMorran II'] has soared up Nevada's stat leader charts. The freshman is currently averaging 21.7 PPG which puts him at 7th in state. On Saturday against Foothill he was draining shot after shot from downtown and ended up with 5 3PM on the day. In addition to his sharp shooting, he played some great defense. McMorran II anticipated Foothill's passes a couple of times and he finished the game with 5 steals.

The Wildcats stayed right with Mojave most of the way, but Shaw's reliable production on offense was tough for Las Vegas High School to keep up with. Eventually he and the Rattlers pulled away in the 4th quarter. Shaw was getting by defenders and scored quite a few layups, as well as a dunk. I also noticed him making life difficult for the Wildcats guards on the defensive end with his length and athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253136' first='Tayshaun' last='Jackson'] left it all on the court on Saturday. He put forth a valiant effort, and had the Wildcats in a very tight game with one of the top teams in the state (Mojave). I was impressed with how he attacked some very athletic guards, and he had a decent amount of success. Jackson also played hard on defense and had a block.

[player_tooltip player_id='2145745' first='Dejon' last='Townsend'] brought his A game on Saturday. The Foothill guard was utilizing his acceleration skills to blow by defenders and he made some nice finishes. He also hit a couple of 3's late in the game to try and make it a close game, but Desert Pines was too far in front.

[player_tooltip player_id='1765906' first='Hunter' last='Iverson'] was making some plays on Saturday for the Wildcats. On offense, he hit a couple of shots beyond the 3-point arc, and got to the basket a few times as well. On defense, he was using his height and wingspan to disrupt shots.

Ricky Bunch Jr provided a solid spark for the Rattlers in the Big City Showdown. When he came into the game, he got right to work hunting shots and splashed a couple of 3's home. Bunch Jr. also applied good ball pressure on defense. He finished the game with 10 points.
