Scholl started off the game against Mansfield in a complete rhythm. He was unconscious from beyond the arc. His shot was coming off his hand quickly and with his height and length, he didn't need any space to get his shot off. For his size, it was impressive to see him come off of screens and get his jumper off quickly. The defense did a good job of being in his face, but it did not matter. He showed off great range as well as he hit multiple threes from feet behind the college arc. The bigs would often lose him in transition and he would always make him pay. He rebounded the ball well when they put guards on him. He was the definition of a mismatch.

After a slow first half, Mansfield Senior needed a spark, and Brooks provided that. He is a tough player and impressed me with his motor and toughness. He then went off in the second half as he found a zone from beyond the arc. His shot was coming off his hands quickly and with a ton of confidence. He has a great skill set as a quick guard. He is a scrappy player as well. He is a unique player because he is scrappy and skilled. Most players are not both but he is. A really good defender and sneaky good on the boards.

Singleton was an unstoppable player. Stopping him from getting to the rim with his right hand was an impossible task for New Lexington. Is a big and physical player that absorbs and dictates contact. He explodes to the rim and uses his length well. He reaches and extends to the rim well. This makes his shot extremely difficult to finish. I am impressed with his physical and basketball maturity from last year to this year. He is molding himself into a high-level player. He is a calm and confident player. When Columbus Academy's offense was slow and they needed a bucket he got it for them. He can and did do it all.

Shelton is an impressive player as a sophomore for this good Lutheran West squad. He is a mature player who knows how to point guard at a high level. He does everything you want on the defensive end because of his quickness. He is in your shorts anytime you catch the ball. He is great in passing lanes and poking the ball out multiple times. He has quick hands. He is a skilled guard that can get to the rim well. He knows when to attack and when to pass it to the open teammate. He is a very impactful player.
