Singleton is the most improved player in Ohio over the past 18 months and he continues to elevate his game to the next level. An exceptional athlete, Singleton can throw down incredible dunks in transition and also is an elite defender. Picking the Ivy League route over high major offers, it’ll be interesting to see if Singleton makes another leap offensively at a place that will expect him to have more of a scoring role than being just a complimentary piece at the high major level.

Singleton is the lone returning contributor of this Columbus Academy team that was a runner-up in the state last year. This team is going to have to lean on him heavily this season, and what does he do in that situation? Oh, just has the stat line of 40 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 6 steals. This kid can do it all. His length and athleticism on the defensive end are a nightmare at the top of the 1-3-1 zone, but he can also take someone out of the game when he locks in on them defensively. He had some explosive plays athletically on both ends of the floor. His ability to go coast to coast was extremely impressive. The biggest thing that impressed me with him was his improved shooting ability from beyond the arc. He is a knock-down shooter off the dribble, off balance, and catch and shoot coming off of screens. When Columbus Academy was making its second-half comeback effort, it was because he completely took the game over in the 4th quarter. Going to be tough for anyone to stop him; just try to contain him. 

There has never been a Mr Basketball award winner from the Ivy League and Singleton will hope to change that as the Harvard commit is a dominant force on both ends of the court. Impressing in the state championship game for a team that was unbeaten heading into the game as a junior certainly puts Singleton fresh in the mind of voters who saw him put on a remarkable performance Vs Lutheran East in a losing effort. If Singleton can get Columbus Academy back to the state title game, he should be firmly in the mix for Mr Basketball.

One of the top prospects on the EYCL circuit, Singleton is just starting to get national recognition after becoming a household name in Ohio this high school season after he led his team to the state title game. Singleton is an Ohio State legacy and has set up a visit to the hometown Buckeyes. Nebraska and Creighton are currently his only high major offers but I expect more to come shortly after the spring live period when programs can get their eyes on him in person and see the two-way impact and his defensive upside. The Ohio Buckets are stacked with Division I talent and currently unbeaten on the EYCL circuit after session I.

Singleton put on a show at the state championship game where Columbus Academy fell just short to perennial powerhouse Lutheran East. An athletic wing guard who makes a big two-way impact, Singleton exploded from a prospect with just one Division I offer heading into 2025 to now having a handful of Division I offers and a high major offer from Nebraska with numerous other high major programs closely monitoring his development. I expect Singleton to crack national rankings lists by the end of the summer if he performs how he has been on the EYCL circuit with the Ohio Buckets . One of the top trending names in the midwest, Singleton is a legacy recruit for the Ohio State Buckeyes who have our number two and three ranked players in 2026 already committed.

One of the fastest rising players in the midwest, Singleton continues to improve and had a monster performance on the biggest stage in Ohio. An impressive athlete, Singleton used his physical gifts to get three steals and finish above the rim in transition. I’m also impressed with the balance Singleton plays with as a ball handler, finishing off two feet and getting set on pull-up jumpers. Lutheran East had so much trouble guarding him that Singleton drew 11 fouls. After the game, Singleton earned offers from Eastern Michigan and Davidson and I expect high majors to come calling sooner rather than later.

Singleton showcased his offensive dexterity throughout the game. He scored tough buckets throughout the game with good touch. Singleton was in the right spots on the floor to get rebounds. He does a good job of operating in the open floor and is like a GPS navigating to different spots. Singleton showed that he could come up with scoring chances coming off of pin downs. He got the foul line frequently and converted his chances from there. He finished with a team high 15 points with 9 coming in the 4th quarter. Singleton flashed on the defensive end coming up with steals and blocks. There were several occasions where he found his open teammates for scoring chances of their own.

One of the fastest rising prospects in the Midwest for the class of 2026, Singleton received his first high major offer just hours after we elevated him into our top 10. Capping off a 22-0 regular season for Columbus Academy, I was able to catch the best game of the year in an overtime win over Bishop Ready. Singleton has the frame, athleticism and polish to be a high level contributor at the Division I level. I’ve been very impressed with his consistency this season on a team that has state title aspirations. I expect Singleton to be a name that’s known regionally in the Midwest by the time summer is over.
