With the end of the season coming up soon and teams getting ready to make a run at the state championship, here are some 2A teams to keep an eye on.

Grandview HS: 14-2 - Key wins: Zillah, Bremerton, Prosser

Grandview is an extremely well coached team and they have been playing great as a team dating back to HS summer league time. I watched them over the summer when coming up to Lynden and they played phenomenally. They proved they can play with the top teams as [player_tooltip player_id='1984500' first='Mavryk' last='Bentley'], [player_tooltip player_id='2375362' first='Marcelino' last='Armendariz'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2205044' first='Francisco' last='Medina'] coming into their own as top players for this team.

Selah HS: 12-3 - Key wins: East Valley, Prosser, Ellensburg

[player_tooltip player_id='1696634' first='Jackson' last='Pepper'] is a big time player, there is no other way to put it. He is a bucket getter who knows how to get to his spots smoothly and facilitate the offense for his teammates. [player_tooltip player_id='2375359' first='Jaiden' last='Alexander'] is a dominant force down in the paint for Selah, getting open on offense and holding his own on the defensive side of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='2384352' first='Oliver' last='Pepper'] looks like a future star for the team too as he could play a big role going into late season.

West Valley HS: 11-2 - Key wins: Cheney, Sandpoint (ID), Sunnyside, Pullman

West Valley is a tough hard nosed gritty team, playing aggressive on both ends and doing what it takes to win. They have a plethora of seniors, with their whole roster almost leaving after this season. Their experience will help out a ton late in the year, as most of the team knows what it's like to play in front of the big lights.

RA Long HS: 13-1 - Key wins: Seton Catholic, Mark Morris

RA Long plays in a tough conference with Mark Morris and Columbia River and have won a tough non-conference game in Seton Catholic. TraMayne Jenkins has been the guy for them all year with the offense revolving around him. Jenkins scores well for all 3 levels, being athletic, agile and able to find his spots smoothly. [player_tooltip player_id='2878369' first='Landon' last='Irwin'] has been great for the Lumberjacks too this season.

Lynden HS: 14-0 - Key wins: Grandview, Bonney Lake, Archbishop-Murphy

The Lions have won 3 state championships in a row and 4 since 2020. They are a premier 2A team who are exceptionally coached and always have players who play well to their system. [player_tooltip player_id='1696692' first='Brant' last='Heppner'] has been holding the team on his back, being relied on for most the offensive production. He has stepped up big for the team and continues to do so. They are fairly young but with the experience they have, I could potentially see a 4th title in a row coming.

Sequim HS: 12-1 - Key wins: WF West, Port Angeles

Sequim does a great job at playing their own games on the court, being able to control the pace of the game well. They could be a bit undersized as we go late in the season but with their grit and fight, I wouldn't count them out against anyone. I could potentially see a path for them to win out and enter post season play with only 1 loss under their belt.
