Game 1: Neville vs. Evangel Christian

The tournament tipped off with Neville High School facing off against Evangel Christian. Despite a valiant effort from Evangel, it was Neville's dynamic guard [player_tooltip player_id='1679471' first='Allen' last='Fisher'] who led his team to victory. Fisher scored 15 points and dished out 6 assists, orchestrating the offense and keeping his team in control. [player_tooltip player_id='1347260' first='Chris' last='Shiflett'] contributed 17 points and 3 steals, while Tyron Grider added 8 points and 10 rebounds for Evangel. However, the integration of Neville's football players into the lineup and Fisher's steady play proved to be too much for Evangel. Neville came out on top with a 59-49 victory.
Score: 1-0 Monroe vs. Everybody.

Game 2: Carroll vs. Captain Shreve

In the second matchup, Carroll High School faced off against Captain Shreve. Captain Shreve was led by junior [player_tooltip player_id='2307975' first='Niran' last='Ogunyemi'], who poured in 13 points, and junior EJayden McDonald, who added 12 points. Despite their efforts, Carroll's offensive depth proved too much for the Shreve squad. Tylor Modica had a standout game, scoring 22 points, while [player_tooltip player_id='1362436' first='Treylan' last='Neal'] chipped in 12 points. Modica's increased offensive role, now spending more time off the ball, helped Carroll take advantage of key scoring opportunities. Carroll won 45-41, giving Monroe its second victory of the day.
Score: 2-0 Monroe vs. Everybody.

Game 3: Ouachita vs. Peabody

The third game was one of the most highly anticipated matchups, as Ouachita faced Peabody. Eyes were on freshman phenom [player_tooltip player_id='2532089' first='Darren' last='Ford'], who has been making waves across the state, and he didn't disappoint. Ford put on an offensive clinic, scoring 27 points and adding 7 rebounds. His strong, skilled play continues to impress, and with each game, his confidence grows. Teammates Kieon Ellis and [player_tooltip player_id='2330259' first='Roosevelt' last='Dean'] also contributed, with Ellis scoring 11 points and grabbing 4 rebounds, while Dean added 11 points and 3 assists.

However, Peabody's explosive offense, led by senior Isiah Jones, was too much to handle. Jones posted 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, while fellow senior [player_tooltip player_id='1560429' first='Rashad' last='Mitchell'] added 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Despite a valiant effort from Ouachita, Peabody pulled away late, securing a 61-57 victory.
Score: 2-1 Monroe vs. Everybody.

Game 4: Calvary Baptist vs. Richwood

The fourth game featured a balanced Calvary Baptist squad taking on a talented Richwood team, led by seniors Travon Varner and 6'10" Karder Mason. Calvary came out strong, with [player_tooltip player_id='2316989' first='Tyrone' last='Jamison'] knocking down consecutive three-pointers on his way to 20 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. Overall it was Calvary's team-oriented approach that proved dominant. Five-star [player_tooltip player_id='2316989' first='Tyrone' last='Jamison'] anchored the offense, while [player_tooltip player_id='2399567' first='Robert' last='Wright'] added 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. G'Marrion Scott contributed 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks, while point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2132749' first='Jaiden' last='Hall'] orchestrated the offense with an 8-point, 8-assist, 8-rebound performance.

Calvary's depth and balance were too much for Richwood to overcome, as they cruised to a 65-48 victory.
Score: 2-2 Monroe vs. Everybody.

Game 5: Wossman vs. Bossier

The final game of the day featured Wossman, the defending state champions, against Bossier, a program with a long history of success. Bossier, known for its "Nothing Bigger Than the B" motto, was looking to upset the defending champs in front of a home crowd. Wossman jumped out to a commanding 18-point lead in the first quarter, thanks to stellar performances from point guard Davey Mays and wing [player_tooltip player_id='1330583' first='Zion' last='Weeks']. Mays finished with 28 points, 7 assists, and 4 steals, while Weeks added 23 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals.

However, Bossier made a strong push in the second half. Senior Kerel Dean, a recent Xavier commit, put up 23 points, 6 steals, and 4 assists, while sophomore LeJerrion Benjamin contributed 15 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Despite Bossier's fight, Wossman held on to win 72-63, securing Monroe's third victory of the day.
Score: 3-2 Monroe vs. Everybody.
