Theodore Roosevelt (DC) Scrimmage Team Report

Will take a look at the Theodore Roosevelt Rough Riders one of the top teams in the always tough DCIAA DC Public League who went up against Oxon Hill HS.    Showcased a strong combination of shooting and unselfishness, Ke'mari is a smart, crafty point guard prospect with a polished skillset and reliable scoring arsenal. Pointer is a quality creator who can consistently generate clean looks for himself and others. He scores from all levels and is comfortable with or without the ball in his hands. Pointer also provides great energy defensively and shows a willingness to make hustle plays whenever possible. Ke'mari is no doubt one of the top guards in the DCIAA league.     Wiry forward. Provides length and shot making ability out to 15 feet. Also showed his willingness to rebound and compete on both ends of the floor. Look for Cash to continue to develop and mature into a solid forward.     Moving forward, we look at a player who possesses an extremely steady, poised identity, Hall is a smart, fundamental sound young combo guard prospect with a high motor and well-rounded skillset. Hall handles the ball with care, plays with pace, and doesn't allow opponents to speed him up. He attacks the basket, spaces the floor, and applies terrific pressure as a midrange threat. Hall is also comfortable as a cutter and spot-up 3pt threat. Knockdown 4 3's in the Oxon Hill scrimmage. He's a scrappy on-ball defender using his length to positioning himself well to contain opponents at the point of attack. In addition, Hall makes hustle plays at a solid rate. Next, his development process is working to increase his involvement as a rebounder once his gets stronger and mature, as it would allow him to push the break in transition more easily and make physical plays on both ends. Hall has the potential to be one of the Top Freshman prospects in the Middle Atlantic region.     He's a smart, steady, low-maintenance two-way guard prospect who excels as a shooter and off-ball threat. Hudgens has made clear strides as a creator and scorer with the ball in his hands yet is still at his best when spacing the floor from beyond the arc. He moves well without the ball to find open seams and displays smooth, repeatable mechanics on his jumper. Hudgens have deep range and truly only require a glimmer of daylight to get off clean looks. However, he understands how to take smart shots, make quality decisions with the ball in hands, and seize his opportunities within the flow of the action.     Hall is a reliable defender and willing rebounder who plays with consistent energy on both ends of the floor. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger and developing a more consistent perimeter game. Sean made some solid plays throughout the scrimmage being the 50/50 glue guy and just competing on both ends of the floor.     Finishing up, we look at a player who made a lasting impression with his impressive presence on the block, [player_tooltip player_id='2623275' first='Anton' last='Arrington']. He's a strong, highly skilled post prospect with a massive frame and the ability to physically overwhelm opponents on both ends of the floor. Arrington possesses soft touch, developing footwork, and sharp vision around the basket. He has soft hands, which he uses to safely secure entry passes and rebounds. Arrington can knock down midrange jumpers or hit the occasional three-pointer but does most of his work from the low post. He makes his presence felt as an interior defender and plays hard to outwork opponents on either side of the ball. Next in his development process is working to become quicker, as it would make him a better defender when switching onto quicker perimeter players.
