Oladotun made his second appearance in a game this season after making his surprise debut in the final four win over Meade where he played hero with the game-winning lay-up in overtime. His size, versatility and skill in a public school setting helps a great deal in demanding the defense’s full attention. The Maryland commit scored a few of his buckets in run-out opportunities, knocked down a three off the catch to help end a strong second quarter and ripped down a handful of rebounds while registering 11 points in the win.

Oladotun was another top prospect who experience an injury that kept him sidelined for nearly the entire season. That came to a surprising end last night as he entered Blake’s game in the Class 4A Final Four matchup against Meade. The Maryland commit would play hero as 2 of his 11 points came with seven seconds on the clock in OT to lift the Bengals past the Mustangs in their first ever trip to the state championship, which will take place this weekend against their in-county rival, Whitman. Oladotun showed expected rust in his performance last night, but also showed the flash around the rim that makes him a unique prospect having to do with size, length and fluidity. He stays put at No. 3 overall in our rankings and will need to put on significant mass to adjust smoothly to the Big Ten level.

Oladotun falls to three in the latest update as he has yet to play in a game this season for Blake. According to a source, he’s not expected back until mid-January as he continues to work his way back from an apparent ankle injury. Unfortunately, Blake scheduled a few marquee matchups that Oladotun has missed and would’ve been a great opportunity for continued evaluation after a strong summer with Team Durant as he reclassed to 2026 and showed well at the 17U level. There’s no doubt in Oladotun skill and potential upside, but while he proved some things during his spring and summer, there were still some questions coming into the season that could’ve been answered had he been on the floor. He’ll still have a great chance to take the public school sector by storm as Blake boasts a talented enough roster around him to have the chance to play on Oladotun’s future college floor in College Park.

Reclassing from the 2027 class to the 2026, Oladotun barely sneaks in the NBA draft requirement for 2027 if he ends up as a one and done prospect at the college level. One of the top shot-makers in all of high school basketball, Oladotun has the height, a high release point and soft touch to catch fire. Sticking at his local high school, Oladotun has gotten tons of reps as an on-ball creator despite only getting three years of high school basketball. Programs like Georgetown, Arkansas, Kentucky, Maryland, and more are currently involved in his recruitment.

-Oladotun enjoyed a productive summer playing up with 17u Durant and the move paid dividends with the development that came with playing against older, more mature and physical players. Oladotun also decided to class up and will finish out his HS career in Montgomery County at Blake. The explosive scorer can fill it up from all three levels but has made improvements to his handle that allow him to see the floor better as a wing that can be a secondary creator at the next level. With his blend of scoring, secondary play-making, and defense– Blake will have their eyes focused on a Montgomery County Championship and a deep playoff run with a veteran group around the consensus top-10 player.

Regarded as the top prospect in the country for the class of 2027 by some outlets, Oladuton had a productive game playing up an age group finishing with 20 points and 6 offensive rebounds. Oladuton started finding his rhythm with a couple of interior finishes after getting pushed around a little on the perimeter early. A couple toughness plays got him on the scoreboard and then in the second half he started knocking down some contested jumpers to push Team Durant ‘s lead and help them secure an upset victory. Really impressed by the resilience Oludaton showed as he’ll be even tougher to guard once he fills out his frame over the next couple of years. Massive upside for one of the most talented prospects in the country regardless of class.

Previous Ranking: 1
-Our #1 retains his spot at the top of our state rankings as he is the top national recruit on most websites as well. Oladotun has proved his worth as a scoring wing that can really fill up the stat sheet, even after moving up an age bracket with Durant to compete at the 17u level. His skillset at his size only continues to grow and his recruiting has continually soared since the ’27 prospect contact period opened at the beginning of the month.

In the thick of the conversation as the top 2027 prospect in the country, Oladotun added another notch to his belt by being named as the only rising junior on the All-Camp team. Having gotten his feet wet in the same event a year prior, he was the only returner among the 2027’s in the field and the experience paid dividends on his way to averaging a versatile and efficient 16 points for the week. Previously almost exclusively a perimeter-oriented player, Oladotun continued to show great progress in both his willingness and effectiveness in using his size to pose an impact near the rim. He converted on just under half of his 13 attempts from deep for good measure while showing signs of growth in both his strength and athleticism. He’s still putting all the pieces together but his ability to produce at this level with that still being said makes it scary to think about what the finished product could look like.

The top-ranked sophomore in the country handled his business on Saturday against two high-powered EYBL opponents, leading his Durant team to two wins to stake an early claim as heavy contenders for a Peach Jam E16 title. Forced to take on a heavy interior load in his guard-heavy public school setting, he showed the full repertoire while toggling seamlessly across perimeter positions and still chipping in on the glass or protecting the rim. What perhaps stands out most for a prospect with Oladotun’s natural talent level and public profile is his steely competitiveness, receptiveness to coaching, and blossoming leadership abilities. He left no doubt to anyone in the standing-room only crowd why he’s considered a clear tier above the rest in the region’s crop of 2027s.

Averaged 22.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 Steals a game and 23-2 overall record…Babatunde showed excellent patience using shot fakes, pass fakes and pivots and is a particularly good finisher. While he may not be overly explosive off the dribble, he is quick and can beat his defender to get where he wants to with the dribble. Uses jabs and fakes, sets his defender up nicely, and has a quick first step. Baba uses floaters, runners, and scoop shots and is an excellent scorer on the move. He’s a crafty and skillful scorer who knows how to create space to get his shot off against taller defenders and has the handle and variety that allows him to beat defenders in isolations with good regularity.
