When players aren't locked into playing one position, the pathway to success seems to fling wide open. Such is the case for Kohnen, one of the more versatile and skilled players in the state. The gifted sophomore wing wasted little time in putting his stamp on the Slinger program as he averaged 18.8 points and 12.3 rebounds as a freshmen while competing in one of the state's better conferences in the North Shore. Kohnen's ability to score from the perimeter, off the bounce and in the paint were evident all season, and his mobility and athleticism were also big assets for coach Alex Lavine's squad. Kohnen picked up NCAA Division I scholarship offers from Iowa State and Marquette since the end of his freshman season, with many more expected to follow in the near future.

The combination guard/wing spent the past two seasons at IMG Academy in Florida after playing as a freshman at Kaukauna. He opted to return home for his senior season and enrolled at Ashwaubenon. The WIAA has cleared the Alabama recruit to play in 2024-25 and that is definitely positive news for an Ashwaubenon program that lost four starters from a 23-5 squad. Allen can handle the ball and sees the court with the best of them. He figures to facilitate the Jaguars offense, and is very difficult to keep out of the lane. Allen has the size and strength to consistently score through contact and has a player to feed in the post in 6-foot-8 junior [player_tooltip player_id='2391086' first='Carson' last='Dorgu'].

Nicolet lost one of the nation's best players over the summer when Alabama recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1390443' first='Davion' last='Hannah'] opted to enroll at Link Prep in Missouri. But don't feel too sorry for the Knights, who advanced to the WIAA Division 2 State Tournament in each of the past two seasons. Coach Terence Smith returns one of the state's elite backcourts as junior [player_tooltip player_id='1781157' first='Rashaad' last='Davis'] joins Bolden to essentially give Nicolet two lead guards on the court. Bolden's biggest assets are his physical strength and mental toughness. He simply doesn't back down from any challenge and gives 110 percent each second he is on the court. The NCAA Division I recruit for NJIT of the American East Conference averaged 12.3 points and 5.8 rebounds as a junior, but his value on the court goes well beyond his statistics, thanks to his intense desire to compete and win.

A guy who can go and get a basket at any time during the course of a game, Manchester is known as a shooter, and he very good at that aspect of the game. He can drill three-point baskets from well beyond the arc as well or better than any other player in Wisconsin. But he's also much more than just a shooter. He can attack the basket and score with his skill and size. He's very good at drawing fouls and swishing foul shots and has emerged as one of the state's top class of 2026 prospects. Manchester averaged 24.6 points and 5.0 rebounds as a sophomore while helping Mount Horeb to a 21-6 record under coach Todd Nesheim.

Athleticism and versatility are the two traits that stand out the most when you watch Smith compete. The two-year varsity standout for coach Shon Haralson at Milwaukee Bradley Tech had a very good spring/summer on the club circuit after missing some of his sophomore campaign with an injury. He still managed to average 14.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals while helping Bradley Tech to a 19-9 record. Smith's vast potential and athleticism has helped him earn NCAA Division I offers from Milwaukee, Cal State-Bakersfield, Robert Morris and Utah State
