The start of the early signing period for the Class of 2025 begins on November 13, and from our count at least six current and former Oregon prep basketball players will be signing with NCAA Division I programs for the start of their college hoops careers. Here's a quick look at who will be signing starting on Wednesday.
The current #1 ranked player in the state of Oregon will be playing his college basketball in the ACC after committing to Wake Forest. His pledge to the Demon Deacons came after a recruitment that saw him previously commit to Portland and Oregon before deciding his best fit would be on the East Coast. Carr, a lethal shooter and scorer who has added a lot of strength and muscle to his frame in the past year, was a critical member of last year's Central Catholic 6A title team averaging 15.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists and could be a leading contender for state Player of the Year honors in 2024-25.

Carter will play out his final year as a commitment to Hawaii.

Arguably the player with the most athletic upside in the Class of 2025 is Barron, who decided to commit to the first Division I offer he received from Portland State. At 6-foot-6, the senior has plenty of length and the ability to jump out of the gym, but also has a smooth jumper from deep and is improving with his overall ball skills. He averaged 14.3 points and 7.6 rebounds last season as he hopes to not only lead Barlow back to the 6A state tournament but capture the state title.

The most recent addition to the list, Paschal will be headed to play college basketball at Weber State after committing to the Wildcats. The 6-foot-5 swingman is a factor on both sides of the ball with his quickness and athleticism and his best basketball is in front of him. He averaged 12.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.4 steals, and shot a team-high 56 percent from the field for Central Catholic's 6A title team in 2023-24.

The former Mountainside standout - who previously ranked as high as the #2 player in the state - will play his final year at Dream City Christian as a Utah State commit. The 6-foot-5 combo guard will get the opportunity to play with and against other top-level players in Arizona and has already started making his mark with his new school. Boe left Mountainside as the most decorated player in school history, a 1000 point career scorer who was also a two-time Metro League Player of the Year and two-time First Team 6A All-State honoree his sophomore and junior seasons.

The former #1 ranked player in the state before he transferred to Prolific Prep after his sophomore season at Lake Oswego, Grady will play his college basketball in the Big Ten at Michigan. The 6-foot-7 wing has proven himself as a lethal outside shooter and scorer at high school's highest level and stands to be one of the top offensive options his final year of prep competition. The commitment to Michigan ended a whirlwind recruitment that included several high-major programs, including the University of Oregon.
Another former top five ranked player in the class before he left the state after his sophomore year - he was ranked as high as #4 - Howell is headed to Rice for college hoops. The 6-foot-4 guard proved himself as a lethal shooter and scorer his two years at South Medford and the song has remained the same since he's been at Owyhee in Idaho - a time that included winning a state championship last year.
