September 17-18th I attended the West Coast Elite Fall League located at the Phhacility in Phx, AZ. I watched 8 teams play on the two days. Some of the teams played both nights and here were some of the sophomore-8th grade standouts.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194476' first='Martray' last='Bagley'] The Valley Prep (Pictured)

A bigger guard plays on or off the ball. He has an impressive frame with broad shoulders and a real feel for the game. He will drive and kick it to set up his teammates. He gets to the basket and can hit the catch three, pull-up from mid and score with fall aways from 7-feet. His best attribute is currently his defense with his aggressive nature.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194805' first='Marquice' last='Pless'] The Valley Prep

A super versatile wing forward can defend and play multiple positions. He can get downhill with a smooth handle and he is quick second jumper and an elite rebounder. He will grab the ball off the glass and will push it up the court. He can step back from his defender, hesitate and get downhill and his euro game is on point. His passing and defense stand out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194474' first='Isaiah' last='Rider IV'] The Valley Prep

Only in 8th grade and already holding how own versus some very good upperclassmen. He has a good feel and tighter handle to make plays. His shooting stroke makes his game go from fall aways from 10-feet and catch threes with range. He can score in transition and get to the basket and handle the contact. He looks to be one of the best in 2029.

[player_tooltip player_id='1546975' first='Javon' last='Bardwell'] Hillcrest Prep

The best performance of the week belonged to Bardwell. He scored 24 and 33 points in the two games but did it in style. He made six threes off the catch (3 each game) and made multiple fall aways with players draped all over him. He just rises up higher then the defender impressively. He also had 2-3 of the best dunks of the week and some were of the poster type. He plays the passing lanes about as well as you can, has a good feel to make a play and will rebound and send shots away in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2052368' first='Makhi' last='Anthony'] Phhoenix Prep White

The point guard of the team sees the court quickly and makes the throw for the dime. He is quick on the ball defensively to collect steals. He will hit the three off the catch and can even dunk the ball on the break. He truly guides the offense and always looks to make the correct reads.

[player_tooltip player_id='1893678' first='Chris' last='King'] Phhoenix Prep White

A wildly athletic shooting guard can get downhill with very long strides. He is an effortless dunker on the break with elbows above the rim and rebounds well with his easy bounce. He can hit the three off the catch in rhythm and is just scratching the surface.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986797' first='Jase' last='Benjamin'] San Tan Charter

A powerful wing forward is developing his perimeter game more and more. He can hit the catch three and even side step to shoot it. He is surprisingly a great passer and super strong and versatile. He rebounds anything in his area and blocks shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986796' first='Peyton' last='Lubash'] San Tan Charter

One of the top sophomore natural scorers in the state. He has deep volleyball line three point range. He can ball fake into a very quick drive with his speed with the ball. His mid-range pull-up is becoming a weapon where he suddenly rises up off the dribble. He is also one of the better passers up the court or drive and kicks.
