While it won't be an easy task given the program that Tim Lambert has built at Monticello, the Cougars have more returning talent, headlined by Lieurance, the league's best player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>First Team</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2617509' first='Jackson' last='Lieurance'] (Cascade): 22.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.1 steals, 53.4 FG%, 39.4 3P%, 76.7 FT%</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An elite shooter and dominant, efficient three-level scorer, Lieurance is capable of exploding for 35 points on any given night, as he showed on multiple occasions last year. He's one of the purest shooters in the state, rarely ever taking a bad shot, and he has really improved as both a playmaker off the dribble and all-around player over the course of the last year. He's a quick guard who can score from all three levels, showing a pure stroke from the 3-point line and an explosive first step that he uses to blow by defenders.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1978108' first='Mick' last='Hoffman'] (Cascade): 14.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 43.7 3P%</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hoffman emerged as a fantastic complement to Lieurance last season, a knockdown shooter off the catch who can also create a bit off the dribble. Look for him to have the ball in his hands a bit more this season after ranking second on the team in helpers last season. He and Lieurance give the Cougars the most dynamic shooting backcourt in the conference, and one of the best in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1759938' first='Gavin' last='Kramer'] (Northeast): 16.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.7 steals</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A stat-sheet stuffer in the Rebels backcourt, Kramer led the team in scoring and was second in rebounding, assists, and steals per game. He's a strong, physical guard who likes to put pressure on opposing defenses with his ability to attack off the dribble, and it opens up his jumper well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1759903' first='Carson' last='Lambert'] (Monticello): 13.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.8 steals, 52.3 FG%, 44.3 3P%</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long, skilled wing, Lambert uses his length to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He's a solid team defender who positions himself and rotates well, is great on the glass on both ends of the floor, and is a really, really good perimeter shooting threat off both the dribble and the catch.
