A smooth all-around offensive weapon, Schauf makes everything look effortless on the offensive end of the floor. He shoots it extremely well off the catch, moves well without the ball in his hands, and has the size and length to impact the game on the defensive end as well. He’ll be among the top scorers in Class 2A this season after averaging 21.2 points on 50-43-85 shooting splits last season.

Read EvaluationEliot Clough | Prep Hoops Scout
The best spot-up shooter on the 17U roster, Schauf had several actions drawn up for him that the upper classmen ran through prior to five-on-five work. A smooth stroke with a quick release, opposing teams must account for Schauf and his ability to shoot the ball at all times.
He moves without the ball and serves as a consistent threat to score from the outside for Murray Elite and Monticello. Schauf’s ability to shoot the rock couldn’t be better illustrated than the numbers he put up last winter for the Panthers, as the small forward made 59-of-136 threes (43.4%) and 102-of-120 free throws (85%). Schauf’s ability to shoot the rock will make someone at the JUCO, NAIA or D3 ranks happy. He holds offers from MidAmerica Nazarene and Dordt.
