It is officially rankings update time here at the Pope Hoops Indiana headquarters. On Monday we released our updated and expanded Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings featuring our Top 50 prospects along with a loaded Watch List of over 300 more players. In total, we added 118 new names to this rankings update from what we previously had released. We are really proud of the work that went into making that happen. Now, we will spend the week diving deeper into the rankings with positional breakdowns, stock-risers, new names, and a look at some of the names to know on the Watch List. Let's take a look at six more of the top stock-risers in this rankings update. For part one of this breakdown, CLICK HERE!

Sigmund was a tough cut when we put out our Top 25 several months ago. He had such a strong season as a freshman at the Class 4A level and backed it up with a great summer helping lead [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 2027 to the 15u Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals championship. Now that we expanded further to the Top 50 in 2027, the 6'1" guard from Decatur Central High is in there at #31 overall. Sigmund is one of the best catch-and-shoot threats in the class.

There is a lot to like about this long, athletic, 6'4" wing. Day checks all of the boxes in terms of physical and athletic tools. Offensively he is tough to handle in transition, is an excellent straight line driver in the half court, and has proven to be able to play up above the rim. Then, defensively, his length and athleticism allows him to be very versatile and disruptive on the perimeter. Day's upside is very exciting and we should see him start to breakout as a sophomore this season at Brownsburg.

With all of the talent at Lawrence North High School right now it might still be a year before we really start to hear his name more. However, we at Prep Hoops Indiana are early buyers of Jones' stock. The 6'5" wing has obvious physical and athletic tools that establish some intriguing upside. He is an effective finisher at the end of his drives, a very good rebounder, and can be a versatile defender across nearly every position. Don't be surprised when he really breaks out at some point down the road. We were here to tell you first!

We've written a lot about Kaegi since the summer when we first saw him play with [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier']. He has good positional size in the backcourt and is highly skilled. The 6'2" guard from Crown Point High School is one of the many talented players in the sophomore and junior classes. Whether he is shooting it in from beyond the arc or creating his own shot in the mid-range, Kaegi can score it from multiple levels. He makes his debut here at #34 overall in the Class of 2027.

There has never been a question about how physically impressive this prospect from Terre Haute North is. Hammond was physically advanced and very athletic as a freshman which allowed him to simply dominate some of his peers. However, his skill level is now starting to catch up and that has lifted him into the rankings at #35 overall. Between the summer and this fall we've been able to get eyes on Hammond more and are excited to see was his sophomore season has in store.

Another impressive athletic with advanced physical tools at his young age, McKain debuts at #36 in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings moving up from the Watch List. The two-sport standout at Boonville High School can really create off of the dribble showcasing his ability as a secondary playmaker in the half court. As he continues to shoot it more consistently from the perimeter you could see him take another leap in the rankings. He had a very strong freshman season for Boonville.
