I got a chance to watch Team Tradition 17U late afternoon on Saturday and a few of their players stood out to me, one of them being

of Boonville HS. A player that is likely a guard long term, McKain played more forward it felt like and his skill and pure aggressiveness helped him a ton against the defense. McKain just player super hard on the floor with a high motor and is not afraid to go at the defensive contact. Can score at the rim and stretch it a bit, as well.

We’ve been high on McKain here at Prep Hoops Indiana since his freshman season. The consistent contributor checks all of the boxes you could want on the perimeter in terms of athletic and physical tools. McKain, a 6’3″ wing, has a lot of upside as a defender and is an excellent right hand driver. His ability to score off of the bounce, and serve as a secondary playmaker, makes him an intriguing small college prospect. He is one to watch for Team Tradition 17u.

. His jump shot is still a work in progress, but he is arguably the best driver of the basketball in the area. He’s a physical wing that knows how to use his body to his advantage and gets to his spots and finish through contact with either hand. Also continues to get better as a playmaker with his court vision and ability to make any pass on the floor. Versatile defender that plays with a high motor that will continue to have a strong spring and summer.
