As has become expected, both Curtis twins had big games in St. Louis Park's win over Totino-Grace. After transferring in from BSM though, Tanner is also playing a key role for SLP, and in fall league is showing what a big boost to the team he'll provide. Against a loaded backcourt, Tanner was handling the ball under pressure, breaking the initial press to get his team a numbers advantage, and then locating open teammates for easy buckets around the rim. He has a tight handle and always seems to have his eyes scanning the floor. Also provided a scoring boost with his deep shooting range. Helped lead his team to a 24 point win over the defending state champs.

Over the past two seasons Micah had established himself as a consistent double-double threat with his play around the basket. During the fall though he's showcased even more improvements in his perimeter game, making him a much more well rounded player. In the win over TG he was hitting turnaround jumpers, pulling up for threes, bullying defenders in the paint for strong finishes, and beating smaller wings off the dribble from the wing. There weren't many ways that he didn't score the ball, and that added skill combined with the tenacity he plays with makes him a big threat as a senior.

Maddox put in a well-rounded performance to help lead his team past Southwest Christian. He played some point-forward, and impressed with his ability to see the floor and zip in passes over the top of the defense to his cutting teammates. Maddox was dishing out quality passes from the perimeter, out of the post, and off the drive to set his teammates up. When scoring on his own he utilizes his frame to post up opposing forwards and finish with touch, and also has deep range beyond the arc. High IQ player who rarely makes a mistake on the ball and competes for rebounds on both ends.

Even if he doesn't put up big scoring numbers, the impact Brady makes defensively is key for this Orono team. At 6'9 he was picking up full-court and moving his feet with smaller players. His long arms in the press were causing havoc and forcing mistakes out of opposing players, while in the half-court he was blocking/altering shots at the rim. Offensively he spent time handling the ball, slashing from the wing, and sealing defenders for easy entry passes/finishes in the paint.

Playing alongside guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1484016' first='Brady' last='Wooley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1579885' first='Nolan' last='Groves'] who thrive at getting to the rim and finishing, Lucas' ability to stretch the floor helps open things up for this Orono offense. In a pair of games against Hopkins and Park Center, Lucas was finding pockets of space out on the perimeter, and showcasing a quick release to get off and knock down shots from three. He's someone who may not always get a bunch of touches in any given game, but is ready to step up when his number is called. Scored a season high 17 points in a win over Chaska last year, and will look to help Orono make a run at the AAA title this winter.

Chace was one of the only bright spots in the loss to St. Louis Park. He showed just how dominant he can be when he gets into attack mode and looks to get to the rim. His chance of speed and explosive burst allow him to get from the perimeter to the rim in a flash. Once there he has impressive body control, and is able to just hang in the air and contort his body to finish over or around size. Defenders know to keep him off his left hand, but the way he weaves around screens makes it extremely difficult to stop him.

Joel continues to impress running the point for Park Center. He helped lead his team to a win over Orono, making plays on both ends of the floor. Saah has elite quickness, and the grit to step out well beyond the arc to pressure opposing point guards. He can wreak havoc with his ball pressure, and when his man makes a mistake with the ball Joel has the quick hands to poke it free for a steal. Offensively he thrives at getting into his lane, with the vision to kick it out to a shooter and the burst to explode to the rim and finish. Fearless going up against size and does a nice job of drawing fouls for easy points at the line.
