The Steph Curry effect is real, more or more players are mastering the art of shooting. These sharpshooters have elite accuracy and can shoot the lights out if you let them heat up. Expect their shooting to also help open up scoring chances for their teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253142' first='Jakoi' last='Lide'] first came across my radar back in the spring season. One can't miss aspect of his game, is he not afraid to let it go from deep and he hits at a high percentage. When you watch his game closely, you'll notice how crafty he is getting to his spots. When he is on his A game he can really fill it up, but he is also a point guard that really knows how to run an offense. A few D1 programs, including Loyola Marmount and Georgetown have taken notice of his talent and he may have more interest on the way if he leads Rancho to a winning season.

Aaron is not just a top shooter in the state, he is now one of the top shooters in all of high school basketball. At the moment it is looking like the senior [player_tooltip player_id='986971' first='Prince' last='Davis'] will be running the point for Desert Pines, which should allow McMorran to run the floor and get to his shooting spots. One thing that sets McMorran apart, is he lacks no confidence can shoot from anywhere on the court. His first step and deceleration skills will also open up plenty of scoring chances when he needs to create separation. A big year is on the way for the 6'2 wing.

Back from Oregon, this point guard has a knack for scoring and setting up easy baskets for his teammates. The attribute that sets him apart from other guards, is his pace. Since he is always playing in control, he is able to play smart taking what the defense gives him. His defenders have to respect his handles and which opens up a decent amount of 3-point opportunities. I expect him to knock down a few 3-pointers a game and for some colleges to take notice of his scoring ability by the time the season is over.

Rudd is one of the most slept on shooters in Nevada entering the 2024-2025 season. Rudd will be suiting up for the new prep program, Paragon Academy, and will likely playing in the shooting guard role most of the season. He had multiple games during the spring season where he hit more than eight 3 pointers, including a clutch 3 point buzzer beater over Prominent Elite. Ideally the new Paragon team can get him going early, which will make his teammates lives much easier on the offensive end the rest of the game. When he catches fire, look out.

Of course this list needed to include [player_tooltip player_id='1965274' first='Ilan' last='Nikolov']. Ilan has been one of the better shooters in the state for a while now. His consistent mechanics are one of his top attributes. You can tell that he puts a lot of time in the gym getting shots up, and he can truly catch and shoot as well as anyone. If you try to take away his 3-point shot, he is more than capable of beating defenders off the dribble and racking up points using his mid-range game.
