The incredibly talented “Koi” Lide recently announced his commitment to Tacoma Community College. While at Rancho he eclipsed 2,000 points, and I expect him to continue to get buckets at the next level.

opened the game scoring the Rams first 8 points. From there he continued to drive hard to cup and he did a fantastic job alluding pressure. He was also jumping in passing lanes and managed to collect a couple of steals that he then took the rest of the way for wide open lay-ups.

had a strong offensive performance against Desert Oasis on Wednesday night. The senior guard was playing off of two feet and hit some not so easy shots. Including a tough turn around 2, and he also pulled off a nice euro step move that he also ended up finishing. I noticed him hustling on defense as well, and he was effective when Rancho was in there press.

filled up the stat sheet as he often does on Saturday. He consistently uses his IQ to set up potential scoring opportunities and I also have to give credit to his teammates for finding him. Cimarron looked for different ways to slow him down, but they didn’t have much luck and he still got to the rack consistently.

Lide is 1st in all of Nevada in scoring, and tied for 9th in the entire country with 34.8 PPG. Lide is also averaging 2.6 APG, 4.4 RPG 3.3 SPG. His best game of the season came against Valley, where he put up 58 points. His pace really allows him to read his defenders and he’s always got a plan B and C if his first move doesn’t work. We’ll see if he can continue his incredible start.

had himself a night, dropping 29 points in the Rams win. The senior was knocking down 3-pointers and getting to the line. On defense, he also got a couple of steals and blocked a Canyon Springs guard who was shooting a 3. At the moment he leads the state in scoring, and is averaging 41.8 PPG.

Lide leap frogs to the 10th spot in the 2025 rankings. He has had some outstanding performances lately. Most recently putting up 38 points in one game the Scholastic Series in California, and 58 points in Rancho’s first official game of the season against Valley. His 3-point shooting ability is elite and not many teams will be able to slow him down this season.

Whoever has the assignment to guard “Koi” is usually in for a long night, because he is constantly on go on offense. He has unlimited range and has the capability to hit 5+ threes in game. I wouldn’t be surprised if he averaged close to 25 PPG this season. On the defensive end, he plays with a high IQ and has good anticipation skills.

Lide lit it up for the Rams on Thursday night and made it a competitive game against a very athletic Gorman squad. He had two runs where he scored 10 straight points and 13 straight points for Rancho. His ability to hunt buckets and hit deep threes is incredibly fun watch. He’ll be up there as one of the top scorers this year.
