Two weeks ago, we welcomed over 250 prospects from the freshman and sophomore classes to Fishers High School for two outstanding events. The Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase has been a long-running success while the Sophomore ID Camp was a massive hit in year one. Now, for juniors and seniors, we have rebranded what was formerly our Top 250 workout as “The Expo.” We had over 60 uncommitted juniors and seniors on Sunday with about a dozen college coaches in attendance as well. This was the premier exposure event of the fall for Indiana High School Basketball players looking to play at the college level. It is now time for us to take a look at 8 teams from "The Expo" and give an evaluation for each player that made up each squad. Let's dive on into Team 8.

***If you attended the Prep Hoops Indiana “The Expo” and DID NOT receive an evaluation, please reach out to Brandon Ramsey via email coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or on Twitter @BRamseyKSR.***

Place is a 5'10" lead guard out of South Bend St. Joseph High School that played the role of floor general well for Team 8 at The Expo. He played with a high IQ, tight ball handling ability, and showed he could make shape passes. Place routinely sliced up the defense and was not afraid to get in the paint and either try to score or dish it off to his big man. There is a lot of talent at SBSJ right now, but Place could factor into the backcourt equation at some point.

Avery was one of the best guards that was in attendance at The Expo. At 6'1", Avery is a do-it-all type of guard and that was on full display on Sunday. He had some really impressive passes and knocked down three-point shots off of the dribble throughout the day. Avery is a true floor general in every sense and has the IQ to make plays for himself and his teammates. He will have a chance to carve out a role in the backcourt as a senior at Ben Davis High School.

Going into The Expo, I was not too familiar with Thomas but came away so impressed with this junior wing. That is exactly what this event is for. At 6'3", Thomas has some size and strength on the perimeter with a lot of versatility to his game. He knocked down some outside jumpers while also making tough finishes around the rim. There is some smoothness to his game on the perimeter despite his physicality and is a high-end, willing rebounder as well. High-upside prospect to keep an eye on at Park Tudor.

Estes is a 6'4" senior wing out of Pendleton Heights High School. What really stood out to me about Estes was his tough and active perimeter defense and communication skills. On the offensive end, he moves extremely well off the ball and is versatile enough to make plays on the ball as well. He is a player that hustles on the floor and does what it takes for his team to win while fitting into any offensive system. He could be an under-the-radar breakout guy for Pendleton Heights this upcoming season.

Boutus is a 2026 wing out of Noblesville High School that impressed with his solid inside-out game. He has a really strong frame with length at 6'5". He also played tough defense and was a real factor around the rim on both ends of the floor. His mobility and versatility will give him a chance to carve out a role for Noblesville at some point and he could blossom into one of the breakout forwards in he in-state 2026 class. Impressive showing at The Expo for Boutros.

[player_tooltip player_id='1297031' first='Henri' last='Maye'] was one of the more impressive prospects overall at The Expo like it was expected he would be. His physical presence on the floor will never not be impressive to watch with his elite combination of size, strength, and athleticism. Maye had some strong finishes around the rim and showed an improved ability to stretch the floor as well. He was a major factor on the defensive end as well. Expect a breakout season at Tindley High School this season from the 6'7" senior forward.

Ward was a player that I was not too familiar with going into The Expo but he almost immediately caught my eye. Again, that is why events like this are so important for exposure. When you are a true 6'8", it is hard for people not to take notice of you. The Tri-West power forward showed really solid mobility in the paint and was one of the better big man rim runners on Sunday. Ward was active around glass and would even try to play some wing at times. He is still pretty raw heading into his senior season, but has a lot of tools you can work with at the next level.

Klopfenstein was one of the more versatile players overall at The Expo on Sunday. The true 6'6" wing out of Terre Haute North High School is a strong player with a great frame. He played more of the knockdown shooter role at The Expo and continued to prove himself as one of the best catch-and-shoot threats in the junior class. Terre Haute North is going to be a very good team once again this season and Klopfenstein will be a big reason as why.
