Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. That is never more true than doing our annual series of fall showcase events. This past Sunday, we hosted our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase which is the single best event we put on each year. Over 150 of the states best freshmen descended upon Fishers High School to play in front of our scouting staff as well as many area high school and grassroots coaches. Throughout the week, we will be pumping evaluations on every single kid that attended this event. For this one, we look at the players that made up Team 12.

***As you can imagine, trying to cover 150+ prospects in a single event is a very daunting task. Also, there always end up being a couple of jersey number discrepancies, so if you attended the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and DID NOT receive an evaluation, please reach out to Brandon Ramsey via email coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or on Twitter @BRamseyKSR.***

At a smaller 5'8, Thomas was one of the more dynamic guards that I saw at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Real quick on the ball and can blow past the defense while also create pull-up opportunities. While he hit some deep three, thought he could have been a little better with his shot selection. Exciting guard to watch and has some legit upside for Tri-West.

Fowler is listed as a 6'0 guard out of Mishawaka that looked a little taller than what he was billed at. Easily the No. 1 thing that stood about watching Fowler was his pure athletic ability. His athleticism allowed him to be a playmaker at times on the ball while also allowing him to be a guard that can crash the boards well.

Hunter is another intriguing guard prospect from Lawrence North High School that was in attendance for the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Very athletic guard that really likes to his body to play through contact and attempt to draw fouls. Guards at this level are not always the most physical but I thought that was what set Hunter a part from his peers at this showcase. Good tools to continue to work with.

Selking is a 6'0 guard out of Bellmont that impressed with how explosive he is at his position. Another guard that has a good pairing of high athletic ability and quickness and knows how to use it. He also has a solid floor IQ which likely comes from being a coach's son. He has the skill and IQ to maybe be a factor at the varsity level this upcoming season already.

Lapsley is a shorter guard from Fort Wayne Snider that can push the pace very well on the ball. Not really a scoring type of guard at the moment but he does play the lead guard role pretty well right now. Smooth on the ball as well as a passer that hunts to find the open teammate for the best look possible. Growth spurt will allow him to open up his game a little more.

A 5'9" guard from Perry Meridian High School, Delaney displayed some impressive open floor quickness and athleticism throughout the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Among his highlights was a tough left-handed finish in transition. In the half court he also found success getting downhill and playing with two feet in the paint. Playing off of two feet consistently and his ability to change pace stood out as well.

Imel is a shorter guard but has wide frame as well. He was one of those type of player that wanted to do everything he possibly could do on the floor when it came to fully producing. Got on the floor for loose balls while hustling back on the defense. His motor is a real high so he constantly locked in both ends of the floor.

The Linton-Stockton Miners had a few freshman that participated at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and the 6'1 Goodman was one of them. For his age, he is naturally strong and likes to his strong frame to make plays on the defense. Took his defender 1v1 a lot of times to the basket. His shot is a little rushed at times so if he can work on being a little more patient I think that would do him wonders moving forward.

Smith is a power forward out of Parke Heritage High School that was easily one of the physically bigger prospects that we saw at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. He is a super tall player at this age that battles on both ends of the floor. It was impressive how he used his strength against the defense inside and once he was able to carve out space he displayed a soft touch as well. There is a lot of talent at Parke Heritage right now and they have had a lot of team success of late, but his size could allow him to factor into the equation sooner rather than later.
