Re-Ranking the Regional Champions – Class 3A

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two weeks ago there were 404 teams across four classes battling for a chance to reach Gainbridge Fieldhouse. There are now just 32 teams remaining, eight per class, and only two wins separate teams from the ultimate goal of playing for a State Championship. As always, Prep Hoops Indiana will spend the week previewing the upcoming games. In additional to class-by-class previews that are rolling out all week long we will re-rank the teams remaining in the field just as we did prior to the Regional round. Unfortunately, those two teams won't get to meet in the State Finals, but they will at least avoid each other until the Final Four. Cathedral will have a very tough matchup against Princeton Community at Seymour High School while Silver Creek takes on a Roncalli team that won a tough Sectional and "upset" Northview in the Regional at Greencastle High School. Neither will be a cakewalk, but the Dragons and Fighting Irish have proven themselves as the best teams in Class 3A all season long.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the North with the games being played at Logansport, Columbia City enters as the on-paper favorite. However, they will have to play a very athletic East Chicago Central team that features some young talent that has carried them to this stage. In the other game, New Haven will face Delta who is playing in their fourth consecutive Semi-State. The south is admittedly stronger than the north here in Class 3A, but that also leaves the north fairly wide open. It wouldn't be a total shock to see any of these four teams cut down the nets and earn a trip to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
