He was one of the best passers from the event, keeping the ball moving in the half-court and tossing the ball ahead for some easy transition buckets. Really crafty on the ball finding ways to get into the paint and finish, and had a buzzer beating lay-up to close out the first half. I liked the way he competed to move his feet on the ball, and when his man looked to drive he did a nice job of walling up to contest at the rim. He's super long at 6'4+, and showed flashes of being able to play on the wing or in the paint. He was one of the best shot blockers I saw at the event, using his long wing-span and mobility to get into positions to swat shots. Carson showed the ability to take a defensive board and then initiate the break on his own, getting all the way to the rim a couple of times. At 6'2 he spent time in the paint, where he was out-rebounding taller players, and creating with his footwork on the block. Able to pull up for deep threes with his quick release, or burst by his man off the dribble and get all the way to the rim. He's an explosive athlete, and that helps him get up and finish against size at the rim. Dished out a couple of assists from the perimeter, seeing the floor well and zipping in passes to cutting teammates. Had a nice assist driving baseline and then dumping it off to a teammate at the rim. Had a transition finish early in the game, and was able to exploit gaps in the defense to get into the paint. Constantly looking to push the tempo. Able to guard multiple spots and get up in passing lanes with his long arms.
