We released our updated Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings right at the end of June. That was a very busy period of time fresh off of the Charlie Hughes Showcase and heading into the July grassroots season. Due to the busy schedule at the time, we at Prep Hoops Indiana feel like our rankings content, generally some of our most popular, didn't get the attention that it deserves. Therefore, we will spend this quieter period in August to revisit our rankings content beginning here with the Class of 2027. First, we will simply re-releaseed the Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings themselves. Now we have turned our focus to other content including additional summer stock-risers, new names, under-the-radar Watch List prospects, and much more. Here are eight front court prospects that standout above the rest heading into their sophomore seasons.

The top of the Class of 2027 features a handful of legitimate high-major prospects, but this 6'10" center might have as much long-term upside as any of them. Hill has already established himself as one of the best shot blockers and rim protectors nationally in the class. He has truly special timing, length, and a quick first and second jump to swat away shots around the basket. Offensively, he flashes some burgeoning skill level that will continue to develop over time. As a freshman, Hill averaged 3.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game. Expect to see a big sophomore season this winter.

Miamba is a true "hybrid-forward" type that displays impressive ball skill along with size, strength, and athleticism at his young age. The 6'6" forward was able to carve out a role at the varsity level for Penn as a freshman averaging 3.8 points per game and is part of a very talented young core for the Kingsmen that will make noise for years to come. Interested to watch his develop and see if he ends up tracking more towards a "3" at the college level or if he will grow into a face-up 4-man type of role.

After averaging a near double-double as a freshman at Cardinal Ritter of 11.6 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, Bolden continued to prove himself throughout the summer as potentially the best rebounder in Indiana's rising sophomore class. He has great hands inside corralling everything that he gets a piece of off the glass. Offensively, he has a soft touch and is relentless as an offensive rebounder as well. Really love his motor and knack for rebounding the basketball. If he can squeeze out another couple of inches he will be a really intriguing interior presence at a pretty high collegiate level.

As big as anyone in the class, Vandegriff turns some heads with his size right away. Standing at 6'10" with a big, strong build, the Westfield High School product checks a lot of boxes. He was getting some rotation minutes with the Shamrocks through the month of June and showed some flashes for [program_tooltip program_id='2317250' first='Indiana' last='Elite 3SSB'] 15u in the spring and summer. Right now he rebounds his area well, finishes at the rim, and is disruptive as a rim protector defensively. As he continues to grow into his size and move more fluidly his game could really take off in a hurry.

Another big man from Penn High School, Price is the final front court prospect currently ranked in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Rankings. The 6'7" center moves well for a young big man with an impressive strong, athletic frame. He projects as a rim-runner and rim protector with upside as a scoring roll man in ballscreen situations. Price has good enough hands and spacial awareness to be really effective on the roll. After getting his feet wet in a couple of varsity games as a freshman, expect to see Price take on a more regular rotation role this season.

Barnes is a prospect that really came on strong in June and July after we initially posted our Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings. Don't be surprised to see him make his debut when we expand to a Top 50 and beyond. The left-handed 6'6" forward/center does a great job of rebounding outside of his area, protecting the rim, and finishing offensively. He is an above-the-rim player on both ends of the floor. Very intriguing upside in a super talented rising sophomore class at Fort Wayne Snider High School.

An undersized left-handed forward from Carmel High School, Dickerson consistently produces around the basket. Whether it was with the Greyhounds through the month of June or with [program_tooltip program_id='2400093' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Tradition'] 15u in the spring and summer, the 6'4" forward has such great footwork and physicality that it is hard for defenses to matchup with him. Bigger guys have a hard time staying in front when he faces up and drives it at them. However, defenders his size and smaller can't handle his strength and physicality. Definitely expect to see him playing a role with Carmel this season as a sophomore.

There is no shortage of size in Indiana's Class of 2027. Ly is the third 6'10" prospect we've highlighted in this class. He has a ton of raw tools including a knack for blocking shots inside which establishes a high floor as a rim protector. As he grows into his 6'10" frame and develops more and more offensive skill, you should see Ly's game really take off in a hurry. His progression will likely be exponential when it all clicks for him. Very high-upside prospect that needs to be tracked closely.
