We released our updated Class of 2026 Prospect Rankings right at the end of June. That was a very busy period of time fresh off of the Charlie Hughes Showcase and heading into the July grassroots season. Due to the busy schedule at the time, we at Prep Hoops Indiana feel like our rankings content, generally some of our most popular, didn't get the attention that it deserves. Therefore, we will spend this quieter period in August revisiting our rankings content. First, we simply re-released the Class of 2026 Prospect Rankings themselves. Now, we will dive into more content including additional summer stock-risers, new names, under-the-radar Watch List prospects, and much more.

The list of sophomores around the state that were named Conference Player of the Year would be a very, very short one. That is what this Triton Central guard accomplished though averaging 17.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game on his way to being name Indiana Crossroads Conference Player of the Year. He then went on to have a strong summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2400093' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Tradition'] which culminated in a trip to the 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill. Sego should continue to garner some more statewide recognition this coming season. Talented scorer and all-around playmaker.

Also a standout football player at Evansville Memorial, the 5'10" point guard had a strong sophomore campaign on the hardwood as well. He will be a part of a talented backcourt once again that will take on more a go-to scoring role now that 6'8" Indiana All-Star forward Tucker Tornatta is at the University of Indianapolis. Kendrick is an excellent playmaker with high-level passing ability. Averaged 7.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game last season.

Here is what we had to say about Peters back in early July when we highlighted him as a stock-riser in our Class of 2026 Prospect Rankings release..."This Merrillville guard has the makeup and physical tools to potentially continue to move up our Class of 2026 rankings. For now, Peters jumps to #69 overall in the rising junior class after previously being on the Watch List. He is a playmaking lead guard with impressive length and a real burst when getting downhill to the rim. There are some real defensive tools to work with as well and he already has shown some tenacity on the ball. Averaged 8.1 points per game as a sophomore for the Pirates."

It will be interesting to watch this point guard prospect this season after his transferring from Carroll (Fort Wayne) to Blackhawk Christian. The younger brother of Jaxon Pardon who is now at Bowling Green, Briggs missed most of this spring and summer due to injury which has caused him to fly a bit under-the-radar heading into his junior season. He is now cleared and ready to hit the ground running. Pardon is very athletic and has flashed some intriguing playmaking ability as a true point guard. Could be a breakout season for him.

Lindsay has flown under-the-radar on a statewide basis at Eastern High School, but it hasn't been for a lack of putting up big numbers. After an excellent freshman season, the 5'11" point guard broke out as a sophomore averaging 20.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting an impressive 39.1% from three-point range on 68 makes. His ability to fill it up from beyond the arc while remaining a good table-setter for others is what makes him a Top 100 prospect in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2026 Prospect Rankings.

Thomas had a very good summer with the Grizzly Cubs after transferring from North Central to Franklin High School. He will take on a prominent role in the backcourt which suits his overall playmaking ability well. The 5'11" point guard plays with good pace which allows him to create separation for jump shots both in the mid-range and beyond the arc. Then, when looking to get downhill to the rim, he has enough burst to create separation there as well. Look for a big junior season from Thomas this winter.

New Palestine brings back a lot of production from last season's Sectional championship team including plenty of backcourt talent. Darrah played a rotation role for New Pal last season as a sophomore, but showcased his ability as a go-to scorer throughout the spring and summer with All Area Basketball. His shooting prowess and continued growth as a shot-creator will give the Dragons yet another talented scoring threat this coming season.

Plainfield is in the midst of a several season stretch of being very, very good under head coach Andy Weaver. The Quakers have a lot of talent once again this season that should make them very competitive at the Class 4A level. Barton is an important depth piece in the backcourt providing ball handling and overall playmaking. The 5'7" point guard is able to get a lot done despite his smaller size with quickness and creative finishing ability. He will be a key piece of Plainfield's rotation this coming season.
