-Active on the glass with putback dunks and rebounds in traffic, did his work early to carve out space before the shot went up and snatch rebounds. Flamer's anticipation as a help side shot blocker was great— blocked 4 shots cleanly without hitting with the body--getting his team going in transition to fuel a run that almost brought them all the way back. Rolled hard to the rim and finished well through the contact throughout the game. Currently headed to Salisbury School's Postgraduate program but is open to college opportunities for the right fit.

Finished a rollercoaster week with DCP on a high note, showing the full range of his abilities as a 3+D stretch 3/4 in a win over IFN. Touomou got a paint touch in the secondary break and kicked for a wing 3 that hit nothing but net for a teammate, then got back defensively to swat a transition layup attempt off the backboard. A few possessions later, he finished with the left off the bounce with the finger roll, then had a nice euro in transition to finish with the right. His next set of minutes saw him hit a C+S touch floater on the roll to the rim. Defensively he really picked it up in the 2H to show his versatility with active contests in the halfcourt and in transition, completing defensive stops with the rebound and push ahead. One of the more under-appreciated wing prospects in the area, pretty high ceiling if he stays healthy and continues to pick his spots to help manufacture wins.

The Rutgers football commit impressed several times this week for a talented WeR1 team, showing the duality in his game as an undersized 4 that can rumble with bigs in the paint while also hitting shots and facilitating well from the perimeter. A lefty shooter with soft touch, a motor that runs hot, and the aggressive/assertive behavior needed to buoy his team defensively-- he is always a joy to watch on the hardwood.

-An athletic wing prospect that dominated a late-week matchup with Team OPS, Gassaway showed his value as a slasher with a flurry of blow-by's and transition rim runs that ended with two hands above the rim. A valuable piece for VA Elite off the bench as a wing that can swing games at both ends of the floor with his energy-- the skill work is beginning to show through on pull-up jumpers at the elbow and C+S threes from the wings. An intriguing name to track in 2025 with a Georgetown Prep team that will have a larger role to fill this year on the perimeter.

-Kanga fills a role that every college coach is looking for at the next level, an athletic forward prospect that protects the paint, is incredibly difficult to block out, that can manufacture his own offense with putbacks and C+S threes, and doesn't need a ton of touches to be successful. Now that he is healthy again, I expect college coaches that value those skillsets to get involved with developmental plans to round out a floor game that has some upside

-Jumper wasn't falling at its usual clip in the two games that I saw but Stevens didn't settle, instead showing his ability to attack closeouts and use his athleticism to finish over and around opponents at the rim. He's starting to use his scoring gravity to hit the roller in the key and is defending at a much higher level, collecting deflections/forcing dribble pick-ups by anticipating crossovers and cutting off driving paths to the rim without fouling. Excited to see how his senior year pans out with a Bullis team that figures to be a top-3 team in the area this upcoming season.
