The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League features prospects from across the continent and is widely respected for it's record in producing College and Professional Basketball Players. This year, two teams based out of South Carolina were added to the EYBL Champions League, [program_tooltip program_id='2134373' first='Team' last='Unleashed South Carolina (TeamUSC)'] and [program_tooltip program_id='2413030' first='Middleton' last='Hoops Elite']. This year's championship-winning programs were Nightrydas (17U), Bradley Beal Elite (16U), and WhyNot (15U) and only Team USC's 15U Group qualified for Peach Jam, but there were multiple Palmetto State prospects who played on out of state teams across all three divisions. Check out the five prospects from South Carolina who finished with the most impressive statistical outputs from the 2024 EYBL Season:

Wylie was a major factor in USC Unleashed's successful season and never looked out of place from a physical or talent standpoint. He was extremely consistent for them during Peach Jam but finished with his best performance putting up 17 Points and 7 Rebounds on 7-9 shooting. Robert has a good jump shot and can pull up from the mid-range when necessary, but he is at his best scoring the paint in the half-court or using his athleticism in transition. He also chips in with rebounding on both ends of the floor and can force turnovers. Jacksonville, Nicholls State, Queens, and Miles are the first four to offer the 2027 prospect.

Christopher opened the Peach Jam with an extremely important performance for Team USC putting up 18 Points on 5-8 3FG in the Play-In Game. Although he never reached the same level of efficiency as he did in the opener, Horton was still strong from the perimeter and had multiple made threes in three of the next four games in North Augusta. Christopher is more than just a shooter, too. He is a good ball handler, on-ball defender, and likes to get his teammates involved. Horton has yet to receive a College Offer, but Coaches definitely took note of his performances during the live period at Peach Jam.

Lance was a rarity in the fact that he stayed with Team United for the entirety of his first two EYBL Seasons. However, he will be transferring from Catawba Ridge High School to Nike EYBL Scholastic's Legacy Early College in Greenville, South Carolina this Fall. Barnes played more off the ball with his AAU team and impacted the game with balanced scoring and defense. Lance started the season extremely well with three double-digit games in his first four shooting 65% from the field in that stretch and was generally more effective in the Regular Season than at Peach Jam. He currently holds offers from SC State, Western Carolina, and Charlotte.

Hayden started the season with Georgia Stars but quickly switched over to a talented Team Thad based out of Tennessee. He is an early commit to the University of South Carolina and Coach Paris was around to check in with him in July at the Nike Peach Jam. Assemian is slightly undersized from a height standpoint, but is extremely athletic and strong which allowed him to be a factor off the bench for Team Thad. Hayden didn't have many shots on a game-to-game basis, but when he did, he was usually efficient with his opportunities. His best game from a stat-sheet standpoint came early in the season in Session 3 where he put up 10 Points, 5 Rebounds, and 1 Block on 5-5 FG.

Since making the move from Upward Stars to Jet Academy, Elton was a dominant force for Kenny Smith's program on the 16U Nike Circuit. He is a monster in the paint and can force the game to revolve around him on both ends when he is at his best. Smith had some very impressive box scores throughout the season including two 18+ Point Games, two double-doubles, and a 3-Block game. The next step for Elton in becoming a true can't-miss prospect would be the consistency of his motor, because there is no doubt he has the talent and frame to be just as effective at the next level. Smith currently holds D1 offers from Queens and Radford.
