We are officially onto the last day of the grassroots season. There will still be a couple of teams playing in some events over the next weekend or two before school starts, but for all intents and purposes the final buzzer at the GRBA National Championship on Sunday will mark the close of summer basketball. Pool play has finished, bracket play is underway, and some teams have already been sent home from Fort Wayne. As always, Prep Ho[program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] Indiana had boots on the ground coverage throughout the day between the Turnstone/Plassman Athletic Center and SportOne/Parkview Fieldhouse. Let's dive in and highlight some of the top individual performers from another great day of basketball.

One of the top under-the-radar prospects up in The Region, Browder suited up for the Indiana Rough Riders and showed out on Saturday. The dynamic 6'2" point guard is excellent off of the dribble with a tight handle, good change of pace, and a pretty pull-up jump shot. Browder also flashed some downhill explosiveness when going to finish at the rim. He is really hard for opposing defenses to keep out of the paint. Definitely one that small college coaches should be making a point to see on Sunday before the summer comes to a close.

Comer is an incredible athlete with all of the physical tools you could ask for in a wing. He has had a very good weekend with [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] - Black 17u at the GRBA National Championship. The 6'4" wing from Fort Wayne Wayne High School led the way with 21 points in their 75-71 win over Indiana Attack Basketball Club. Comer can make catch-and-shoot three-pointers, but he is really at his best when attacking closeouts, playing in transition, and getting up above the rim.

There aren't many guys in Indiana's Class of 2026 that can put the ball in the basket better than this 6'2" guard from Martinsville High School. He certainly had that scoring ability on full display at the GRBA National Championship on Saturday suiting up for [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] - Kindschy 16u. Gardner went off for 35 points including knocking in eight three-point shots as they dominated INB Elite 16u 93-46. He is definitely a guard who should continue to burst onto the radar entering his junior season.

One of the top Class of 2027 prospects in the Prep Ho[program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] Indiana rankings, Hogue is playing up with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] - Red 17u this weekend at the GRBA National Championship. He got really hot from beyond the arc in a stretch during the second half as they pulled away and dominated Detroit Legends Elite by the score of 72-24. Hogue connected on four three-point shots in the second half and finished with 16 points. The 6'1" guard from Fort Wayne Snider High School is a really talented shot-maker.

Arguably one of the best shooters in the gym on Saturday at the GRBA National Championship. Johnson connected on his first three three-point shots of the game to give 5Star - 3SGB 16u the early boost they needed before going on to win 66-44 against [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] - Latham. The 6'0" sharpshooter from Northridge High School finished with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Really intriguing catch-and-shoot threat with one of those strokes where you always think it is going to go in the basket.

An under-the-radar prospect from Adams Central High School, Maller scored a game-high 20 points for Focus Premier 17u as they narrowly got by [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] - Gold 64-63. He is a very athletic driver with the ability to get into the paint, elevate above the defense, and finish with either hand at the rim. Maller also shoots it well, but it is his physical tools and athleticism from the guard spot that really stands out. One for small college coaches to watch as he heads into his senior season.

It was Neddenriep's shot-making ability that played a big role in [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] - Competitive Greatness 17u overcoming a double-digit deficit to come back and beat [program_tooltip program_id='2383637' first='Summit' last='City Elite'] - Black 17u in overtime 73-65. The Brownsburg High School guard finished with 21 points to lead all scorers. Neddenriep an excellent shooter from beyond the arc with the confidence to create his own off of the bounce in ballscreen situations or spot up when playing off of the ball. He has consistently been a go-to scoring threat for his team through the spring and summer months.

After an outstanding spring and summer with Bates Fundamentals on the EYCL Circuit, Roseman suited up for one final weekend of grassroots basketball. Playing up at the 17u level with INB Elite this weekend at the GRBA National Championship, the Bishop Chatard point guard poured in 32 points in their Saturday afternoon contest contest. He put up 20 and 25 points in their two games on Friday. One of the most productive scorers in Indiana's Class of 2026.

Another high-upside prospect from up in The Region that is playing with the Indiana Rough Riders this weekend at the GRBA National Championship. Wallace put together an excellent junior season at East Chicago Central averaging 11.8 points and 6.8 rebounds and has continued that strong play into the summer months. The 6'4" wing has excellent physical and athletic tools projecting as an impressive two-way threat. Wallace plays above the rim, attacks the basket hard driving it right, and is capable of guarding several positions.

Welker got off to a hot start on Saturday evening setting the tone for [program_tooltip program_id='2470527' first='Indy' last='Heat Red'] 15u. He scored 12 points in the first quarter and eventually ended up with a game-high 18 points in a 70-58 victory. The 6'5" forward displayed some impressive fluidity in the opener floor, made great passes with both hands, and consistently finished at the end of his drives around the rim. High-upside prospect in the Class of 2027 that is only scratching the surface of how good he can be.

White did a little bit of everything for 5Star - 3SGB 16u in their 66-44 win over [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] - Latham 16u. The long, athletic 6'2" wing finished with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. His versatile, as evidenced by the final stats, was on display at both ends of the floor. Offensively, he can drive it right against closeouts, attack from the throw ahead in transition, and slash his way to the basket as an off-ball cutter. Then, defensively, his length and constant motor make him very disruptive on the ball and in the passing lanes.
